We had a great stay at Arnaldo’s during our family vacation. The house is perfect for our group of 8: 4 adults and 4 teenagers who had their wing of the house. Arnaldo helped us with last minute booking of zip-line which worked out perfectly as well. Thanks so much and we will definitely stay here again next time we visit the beautiful La Fortuna!

Could be SOOO much better. We booked this solely for the hot tub and the living room set up to watch the World Cup. That’s why we chose this property! The TV did not work at all and neither did the hot tub. The hot tub was cold the entire time. We couldn’t use it at all because of how cold the water was and it was very upsetting for us since that’s why we booked this expensive property in the first place. The host said it worked fine and was heated up, which was not true at all. Read the other reviews about it. The bare minimum and main selling points of this house didn’t even work. Batteries low on the door locks which kept giving us issues. Living room door wouldn’t stay closed, we literally had to go out to a store and buy a screwdriver to fix these issues that shouldn’t exist in the first place. It felt like an unfinished construction site. Other than these massive, easily fixable issues, we saw a sloth which was cool. Also, the local food was amazing.

This was a great fit for our group of 8. 4 adults and 4 teenagers. The location was private and we saw several sloths on the property, including one with a baby. I would caution families with small kids to double check the layout of the house prior to booking as the rooms are located outside the main living area and are centered around the pool. That was a non-issue for our group but may affect others.

We had a wonderful time with our family in La Fortuna. The home was very comfortable as a home base for activities and to rest and relax. It was private and peaceful. We saw a two toed sloth on the property snd ate at several of the recommended restaurants. I plan to recommend to friends and would love to return again.

Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay (May 2026). One morning, the groundskeeper knocked on our door to let us know about a sloth in a tree! We saw at least 2 toucans and several very large frogs/toads. The privacy of each spacious BR with its own full BA - not connected to LR and K - was great. Very close drive to La Fortuna, but nothing was walkable so you definitely need a rental car. The K had some basics - but you need to stock up on groceries. The water was fine and safe to drink; it didn’t have any smells or odors. The pool was nice but the spa would not get warmer than 86F, which is no where near warm enough for some of the cooler evenings. So we really didn’t get to enjoy the spa at all. The Hosts were very quick to respond to questions. Having a full size washer and separate dryer allowed us all to pack less. Overall - very nice stay! Easy check-in and check-out.

A great place to stay if you’re visiting La Fortuna and the surrounding area. It’s private, it’s secluded, it’s surrounded by nature and beautiful grounds. The house itself is large, the rooms are large and all separate. We stayed with 2 families and 4 kids and it was more than enough space. The kids loved it. On our last morning, there was a sloth in the tree so tht was great.

This place was great for our two families with 4 kids. We liked that it was close to all the activities but felt like it was very private. The pool, rooms, house etc were all as described. We liked seeing the sloth in the trees!
