The Space

Welcome to Casa Komorebi, a Japanese-inspired villa nestled along Costa Rica’s southern Pacific coastline. Tropical sunlight filters through the surrounding jungle, casting shifting shadows across the forest floor.

Completed in late 2024, the property was designed by one of the region’s most forward-thinking architects and decorated by one of Costa Rica’s leading interior design companies. Everything is brand new, from the bedding and kitchen cutlery to the handcrafted furnishings and local artwork. High-quality furniture, intricate woodwork, and thoughtful design create a clean, comfortable, and refined setting.

The villa overlooks Costa Rica’s Bahía Ballena National Park, offering views of the famous Whale’s Tail Reef during low tide. Its suspended bedrooms rise above the jungle canopy, while the infinity pool provides sweeping jungle-to-sea vistas.

Bedrooms and Capacity

Casa Komorebi accommodates up to 10 guests. Children must be at least 5 years old to stay at the property.

Central American hardwood walkways connect the elevated bedrooms with the living area and infinity pool deck. A sun-filled garden sits at the center of the property.

The covered infinity pool deck overlooks the surrounding landscape toward Cano Island and includes:

• A 10-person outdoor dining table
• Multiple poolside lounge chairs
• A new barbecue
• An outdoor speaker system

The surrounding gardens and jungle provide frequent wildlife sightings. Guests may see howler and white-faced monkeys in the trees, along with toucans, parrots, and scarlet macaws overhead. With binoculars, it may also be possible to spot humpback whales migrating offshore as the seasons change.

Living Area and Kitchen

The air-conditioned living area and kitchen feature handcrafted furniture and artwork. Air conditioning in the shared living space is an uncommon benefit in the region, where many rental homes provide it only in the bedrooms.
