The location of the house is excellent, it is certainly its biggest plus and that is why we decided to book it. But it is important to share some details that are not fully reflected in other comments and that I would have liked to know before arriving. The house in general is quite neglected and in need of maintenance. The towels are very old, frayed and in poor condition. The bathrooms were not clean enough, they lack a lot of maintenance and do not have adequate spaces to place soap, in some bathrooms there was no hot water and there was no lighting There aren't enough towels in the pool area, and the few that are there are stained with chlorine, old and torn! The armchairs are not comfortable The kitchen is not well equipped or clean; we could not cook any day since it is not inviting to use and several utensils are missing. The staff were very friendly and always tried to help but overall the house lacks maintenance!

Casa Ambar is a very nice place, full of many details, the place is spacious and comfortable for large groups like mine. Communication from day 1 was excellent, Roger was attentive to our needs and offered us additional services, in addition, he allowed us to celebrate my birthday at the house. We were allowed to enter the house early, which was ideal for accommodating the group prior to their arrival. The staff was very friendly and helpful, we only had one support girl, but she was very helpful. Check if they have the cleaning supplies in the kitchen, since on the first day, there was soap and on the second day they told us that they could not leave it without an apparent reason and when requesting the iron, it was not working and the steam iron has an extra cost (fortunately we managed to reach an agreement). I recommend indicating in the reservation the associated cost to turn on the air conditioning in the large room, it has an additional cost of 50k/h. This place is very beautiful!

10 of us girls stayed in the house, and the “wow” factor when you walk in is unmatched! We felt extremely safe with the 24 hour door men and utilized the cooks for breakfast and a dinner. Many girls said the food was the favorite part of the trip. The house is very grand with a lot of natural light and very clean. Every bedroom had A/C that worked wonderfully too. We couldn’t have asked for a better location either. With that fabulous location does come with some street noise, so some of us used ear plugs at night. All in all, we were so impressed with our stay and would definitely recommend.

We LOVED this house! It was spacious enough for our big group of 20 family and friends, and each unique room had its own AC and was super comfortable. The location was unbeatable, right in the heart of Cartagena’s historic center and walkable to everything! The house is stunning, very well-preserved and comfortable, and surrounded by other beautiful and historic colonial homes, great restaurants, and shops. The staff was amazing! So kind and helpful and always available, but also completely unobtrusive to our guests' experience. Huge thanks to Roger, the property manager, who helped us coordinate everything from airport transportation to spa services! He was incredibly easy to communicate with and contributed greatly to our overall enjoyment. Our stay was truly perfect! We’re so grateful to have shared this magical place with our loved ones!
