The Space
This beautiful 85-square-meter studio apartment offers a private guest space with stunning views of Concepción Volcano and Lake Nicaragua.
The open-plan layout includes:
- A bedroom area with a king-size bed and bedside tables
- An open living, dining, and kitchen area
- An oven and full-size refrigerator
- A front porch with a hammock and seating furniture
The enormous, beautifully designed bathroom features both an indoor garden shower and an outdoor garden shower.

The property spans 5 acres and includes shared outdoor spaces with:

The property uses a hybrid combination of solar and grid energy. Hot water is supplied by solar water-heating systems. Greywater is recycled, and biodigesters are used to process blackwater.
The studio is not air-conditioned, but it stays comfortable through cross-ventilation, ceiling fans, and standing fans. Ometepe generally has cooler temperatures than the mainland.

Guests have access to their private 85-square-meter studio, as well as the communal gardens and barbecue dining area.

The owners are available through a messaging app but do not live on the island. Our friendly, Spanish-speaking staff can assist with most needs, including:

Pets and Security
We have a cat named Ninja, as well as two medium-to-large dogs, Alpha and Osa. They are beloved members of our family and are very sweet, while also providing security at night. They may bark at strangers but do not bite.
Getting Here
Ananda is located 650 meters up the rustic, very rocky dirt road leading to Totoco Eco-Lodge. Most vehicles can reach us year-round, although four-wheel-drive vehicles or vehicles with higher ground clearance are recommended. All-terrain vehicles are also a convenient way to get here.
Is Ometepe Right for You?
If you love nature and natural surroundings, you will enjoy Ometepe. The island is home to abundant flora and fauna, along with:

- Scenic nature hikes
- Ancient petroglyphs
- Picturesque wetlands
- A natural volcanic swimming pool
If you have a phobia of spiders, insects, or other creepy-crawlies, Ometepe may not be the right fit. Although our accommodations are anything but rustic, the island itself is, and its biosphere status reflects its remarkable biodiversity. This also means that the island has an incredible variety of insects.

An absolute hidden piece of paradise, guesthouse was amazing, the view to wake up was stunning! Great spacious bathroom, with outdoor shower, big kitchen and living area. Location on the island is good, and very peaceful with view on one or the Volcano’s. Staff was super friendly and helpful, also prepared a great breakfast. I’d definitely recommend!

Beautiful view of the volcano, the way up is hard, would not recommend a little car, jeep will do the job, forget about walking. Norber was very attentive and helpful. if you bring a car into the island, make sure you book the ferry withing months...

We had a wonderful time The space is beautiful, large, clean and private. Because the road there was a bit difficult with transport, we did it several times on foot which was fine to do! We rented a scooter somewhere else and could park it at the host's place again at night. Then it was another 10 min walk up/down. We took breakfast every morning (which we unfortunately had to pay separately, for the price it would be nice if it was included) which was very well taken care of, our favorite breakfast in Nicaragua! There are home delivery options, which is very nice if you want to fully enjoy your stay. The accommodation has the menus ready, very well arranged! Communication went very well, extremely friendly helpful and fast. Highly recommended if you want to enjoy the peace, the space and the view!

Roslyn & Jonathan have created a super special place for guests to enjoy their stay in Ometepe. Truly one of the best AirBnb stays we’ve ever had. The lodging has so thoughtfully been curated with every amenity & small touch considered. Space is clean up & down, bed is comfy, seating areas to lounge, outdoor shower is next-level cool, patio with outstanding views & serene vibes. The staff were all lovely, kind & considerate. Our daily breakfasts were delicious & featured local items. The property cat & dogs were a highlight as well, Alfa really likes to try to get some leftovers lol. Def recommend an ATV to access the property and comes in handy to tour other more remote parts of the island as well. There are a few restaurants down the hill that we enjoyed each evening. In a nutshell, this place won’t disappoint!

A quick couple nights before my vacation ended and it was perfect. Directions were great since it’s off the main road and upon arrival did not disappoint. Amazing views with awesome landscape. This 1 bedroom is very spacious and comfortable. Very recommended for a relaxing chill place to stay in style with that upper class feel. Only thing to know is there’s no A/C, but it’s okay since the winds are strong each day/night and there’s a couple fans before the morning gets in the upper 70’s.
