Our studio apartment is the latest addition at Ananda Guesthouse and is our most beautiful guest space. With 85m2 of private space and including jaw dropping views of Concepccion Volcano and Lake Nicaragua, the open plan design includes a bedroom area with king size bed & night tables, a full size kitchen with oven, dining area and living space with L-shape couch & front porch with hammock. The private bathroom in this space is amazing with over 20m2 including an indoor and outdoor shower. The space This studio apartment was completed in September 2022 and is a gorgeous modern, clean and supremely comfortable experience. Enjoy incredible views of the active volcano and Lake Nicaragua from your front porch, king bed and living areas which includes a custom built L-shape lounge that can double as a sofa bed. The living area leads to a 4-person dedicated dining area and full size kitchen. The bathroom is enormous and includes an indoor shower as well as an outdoor garden shower. Showering looking up at the stars is highly recommended. The space is not air conditioned but remains fresh by encouraging cross-ventilation as well as the use of ceiling and standing fans. To get to us, we are located 650meters up the rustic and very rocky dirt road leading to Totoco Eco-lodge. Most vehicles can access us year round but those with 4WD or at least higher clearance are recommended. ATV's are also a great way of getting to us. Is Ometepe the right fit for you? If you have a love for nature and all things natural, you will love Ometepe! The island is home to an abundance of flora and fauna and has everything from waterfalls, black and white sand beaches, incredible nature hikes, ancient petroglyphs, scenic wetlands and a natural volcanic swimming pool. If, however, you have a phobia of spiders, insects and other creepy crawlies, then Ometepe is perhaps not the right fit for you Whilst the accommodations we offer are anything but rustic, the island is and as its biosphere status implies, there is an enormous amount biodiversity which translates into an incredible array of insects.

## The Space

Our studio apartment is the newest addition to Ananda Guesthouse and offers a beautiful, private retreat. Covering 85 square meters, it provides stunning views of Concepción Volcano and Lake Nicaragua. The open-plan layout includes:

- A full kitchen equipped with an oven  
- A dining area designed for four people  
- A living space featuring a custom-built L-shaped couch that can convert into a sofa bed  
- A front porch with a hammock  

The bathroom is exceptionally spacious, measuring over 20 square meters, and features both an indoor shower and an outdoor garden shower. Showering under the stars is a highly recommended experience.

Completed in September 2022, this modern and clean studio offers supreme comfort. Although there is no air conditioning, the space remains fresh through cross-ventilation and the use of ceiling and standing fans. The island of Ometepe generally enjoys cooler temperatures compared to the mainland.

## Guest Access

Guests have exclusive use of the entire 85 square meter studio apartment. Additionally, they are welcome to use the communal gardens and BBQ dining area shared with other guests.

## Location and Getting Here

The guesthouse is situated 650 meters up a rustic, rocky dirt road leading to Totoco Eco-lodge. While most vehicles can access the property year-round, those with four-wheel drive or higher clearance are recommended. All-terrain vehicles (ATVs) are also a convenient way to reach us.

## Pets on Property

We have a cat named Ninja and two medium-to-large dogs, Alpha and Osa. They are beloved members of our family and provide security during the night. While they may bark at strangers, they do not bite.

## About Ometepe

If you appreciate nature and natural surroundings, Ometepe is an ideal destination. The island boasts diverse flora and fauna, including:

- Waterfalls  
- Black and white sand beaches  
- Scenic nature hikes  
- Ancient petroglyphs  
- Wetlands  
- A natural volcanic swimming pool  

However, if you have a fear of spiders, insects, or other small creatures, Ometepe might not be the best fit. Despite our comfortable accommodations, the island’s biosphere status means it is home to a wide variety of insects and wildlife.
