Casa Esmeralda is a five-minute drive on paved roads from Tamarindo, a vibrant surf town known for its beautiful beach. Located in a peaceful area surrounded by nature and howler monkeys, this modern two-bedroom home sits within a small, secure gated community and features a private saltwater pool.

Guests can explore the surrounding area, work remotely with high-speed internet, and prepare meals in the fully equipped kitchen. Casa Esmeralda offers something for everyone.

The Space

Casa Esmeralda is located behind and parallel to Tamarindo’s main road, close to restaurants, shops, the beach, and other local attractions. Set among the Costa Rican jungle, the home is part of a gated community with nearby neighbors for added security. Tamarindo’s center is approximately 2 kilometers away.

The thoughtfully decorated home includes:

• Two spacious bedrooms
• A bright, open-plan living area
• A fully equipped modern kitchen
• A functional dining area
• A comfortable living room with a sofa, rocking chair, and smart television
• Fiber-optic internet suitable for remote work

The primary bedroom features a king-size bed, a private en-suite bathroom, and direct access to—and views of—the garden and pool. The second bedroom has a comfortable queen-size bed and a dedicated workspace.

An additional twin bed and/or sofa bed is available for up to two extra guests.

Outdoor Area

The fully fenced backyard extends the living space and provides privacy for families and groups. Outdoor features include:

• Additional dining space
• Barbecue grill
• Covered seating area
• Private saltwater pool

The covered area is ideal for spending time with the group, reading, or catching up on work. The pool offers a refreshing place to cool off beneath the Costa Rican sun.

The home includes beach essentials for your convenience:

• Travel mugs

The kitchen is well equipped with essential ingredients and supplies, including:

• Salt
• Pepper
• Oil
• Spices

Guest Access

Guests have access to the entire property. Some areas are locked for storage purposes.

Important Information

• Lost keys incur a charge of $15 per key.
• A lost remote control incurs a charge of $300.
• To help prevent loss, please leave the keys and remote control in the lockbox outside the gate whenever you leave the property.
• A maintenance person visits regularly to care for the grounds and pool.
• During drought season, the area may experience scheduled water-conservation periods, and severe conditions may occasionally result in unannounced water shutoffs. Please let the host know if the situation seems unusual so it can be assessed.
• The property is located in the jungle, so insects may be present, especially during the rainy season. Please keep doors closed and do not leave food unattended.
• Certain mobile network carriers may not work in the area, so please plan accordingly.
• Children must never be left unattended.

Cleaning and Long-Term Stays

• For stays of two weeks or less, basic cleaning supplies are provided.
• For stays longer than three weeks, a house cleaning is recommended at the guest’s expense.
• For stays of 30 days or more, house cleaning is required every two to three weeks at the guest’s expense.
• For long-term stays of 30 days or more, the home is initially stocked with kitchen, bathroom, and laundry supplies, including dish soap, oil, spices, laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and propane. After the initial supply period, guests can purchase additional items at local stores.
• For stays longer than 30 days, the first $300 USD of monthly utilities—including electricity, water, and internet—is covered. Any amount above $300 USD must be reimbursed through Airbnb with invoice documentation.
