Getting There
From Belize City, there are two ways to reach San Pedro:
- Take a short flight from Belize City to San Pedro. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes and offers spectacular views of the surrounding islands and sea. Tropic Airlines operates small aircraft with a maximum capacity of 15 passengers. After landing, you can reach the apartment on foot, by golf cart, or by taxi.
- Take a water taxi. Services operate from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with several departures throughout the day. The journey takes approximately 1.5 hours and offers an opportunity to meet locals, experience the culture, and hear stories about San Pedro.
Local Information
San Pedro uses the Belizean dollar, and United States dollars are also accepted at an exchange rate of 1 United States dollar to 2 Belizean dollars. Most establishments accept credit cards.
The locals are friendly, helpful, and English-speaking, and are happy to help make your holiday more enjoyable.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had such an amazing stay at Babylon Beach Resort in Villa 5! The villa was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our trip. The location was perfect, close to everything in San Pedro while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. We loved being right by the water and waking up to the beautiful Belize views every day. 🌴🌊 The property was well kept, and Villa 5 truly felt like our little home away from home. Our stay made our Belize trip even more memorable, and we would absolutely stay here again. If you’re visiting San Pedro and looking for a beautiful, comfortable place to stay, I definitely recommend Babylon Beach Resort and Villa 5! 🇧🇿❤️ 10/10 experience!

This was my first trip to San Pedro and this villa was incredible! It was so walkable to all the restaurants, bars, and local shops. There is a grocery store right outside that had anything we needed. It was right across the street from the airport but the Airbnb host arranged a car pick up from Edson who was so sweet. He also gave us a contact of a golf cart (which we honestly didn’t need because it was so walkable!) . The Airbnb was perfect, comfy beds, great A.C, and the perfect outdoor area to hang out in the hammocks. Carina came by and offered a complimentary massage and I got a great massage right in my villa a few days later. We loved the dock too and were able to meet some super fun locals. There are excursions right by too! Everything was perfect! 100/10 recommend!!

⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5) I booked this Airbnb well in advance, but the stay was cut short due to serious safety concerns. Upon arrival, the host said the door was left open with the key inside, which was already concerning. We also noticed the front door didn’t close properly and were told it would be fixed the next day. That evening, the door wouldn’t lock at all. We waited over 2.5 hours for a solution, missed our dinner reservations, and the issue was never resolved. When I asked to be moved to another villa, the host replied, “Then we would have 2 dirty rooms.” At that point, I canceled my reservation because I didn’t feel safe. Thankfully, Airbnb supported my decision. Guest safety should always come first.

Right in town near all the shops and restaurants, yet private and peaceful with the ocean right out the back door. They were very help in renting a golf cart and our snorkeling excursion (where the boat picked us up right off our dock!). Plenty of great recommendations and very friendly! We had a great time!!!

We absolutely loved our stay in the villa. It was very clean and the location was perfect with an amazing view! So many things within walking distance. We were able to walk to some of the bars at night for live music and drinks. The Sprinter is also just a few minute walk away. My boyfriend went fly fishing and they picked him up at the pier right outside. We will be recommending this place to our friends and already planning to book again for our next trip to San Pedro!
