Beach House with Great Ocean View!
The Space
This two-story house offers stunning views of the national park and ocean from the balcony, living room, and bedrooms. It features two bedrooms—one with a queen bed and the other with a double bed—both equipped with air conditioning. The bathroom is located on the same floor as the bedrooms.
The upper floor includes a kitchen, living room, and a spacious balcony, totaling approximately 800 square feet (75 m²). The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, microwave, blender, refrigerator, pots, and pans. Linens, towels, pillows, and a few books are provided for your convenience.
Additional amenities include ceiling fans in every room, hot water showers (one outdoor shower for rinsing off sand after the beach), a full-length mirror, blow dryer, iron, and a telephone for local calls (international calls require a phone card). The electricity supply is U.S. standard 110 volts with American-style plugs.
There is no television, pool, bathtub, or stereo on the property. A full-time caretaker is available.
Location and Access
The house is situated about half a mile from three white sand beaches, restaurants, an ATM, and a convenience store. It is the closest unit to the parking lot, but please note there are approximately 54 steps (about three flights) to reach the front door, making it unsuitable for those with mobility issues or toddlers.
The property benefits from refreshing sea breezes and is surrounded by rainforest and wildlife, offering excellent opportunities for tropical birdwatching and nature observation.
Environmental Considerations
- Recycling containers are located just 20 yards from the front door.
- The property features a wildlife-friendly outer perimeter security fence.
- Environmentally friendly cleaning products are used throughout the house.
Wildlife and Nature
The location is ideal for observing a variety of wildlife. Birdwatchers can spot species such as laughing falcons, parrots, parakeets, scarlet tanagers, electric blue dacnis, frigate birds, golden-headed tanagers, tropical kingbirds, pelicans, and many others. At least 224 bird species have been recorded in the area.
Squirrel monkeys and white-faced monkeys are frequently seen nearby, and howler monkeys can often be heard. The local lizards, known as garrobos, are harmless omnivores that help control pests and sometimes inhabit the stair area.
Nearby Attractions
The house is close to Manuel Antonio National Park and several private reserves. Nearby amenities include a five-star restaurant, casino, hospital, and airport.
Beaches
- To reach the far end of Espadilla Beach (opposite the National Park side) and Dulce Vida Beach, walk downhill for about 1 kilometer (0.6 mile) along the left fork in front of the house.
- Espadilla Beach is the largest beach and features white sand and good swimming conditions.
- Dulce Vida Beach, located around the rocks to the right, is known as a gay-friendly beach.
- Another beach accessible via the right fork is more suitable for small children due to gentler waves.
Guest Access
Guests have full access to the entire unit.
Additional Information

The house was beautiful but there were bugs in the guest bed. She had the house manager change the sheets but the bugs were still there

We had a wonderful stay. The place was very clean, peaceful, and had beautiful views that made the experience even better. The host was extremely responsive and accommodating, allowing us to check in early and check out later, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a great stay and we would definitely recommend it.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this vacation rental which was cozy, clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay . The views of the Pacific Ocean and Espadilla Beach were breathtaking, while the surrounding rainforest provided a front-row seat to incredible local wildlife that made the entire trip so much more interesting. We absolutely loved sitting on the deck each night watching the incredible lightning storms just off the coast. We would like to give a special thanks to the onsite caretaker Bismark, whose kindness, advice and help truly made this visit special. We would definitely love to come back.

The house had amazing views. We enjoyed spending a lot of time on the upstairs patio deck. Having one bathroom was a challenge but worth the inconvenience.

More amazing in person that the pictures. Breathtaking views all around esp the balcony. Private and nestled in a jungle-- Kirsten and I loved it. Waking up to supendous sunrisese (soemtimes accompanied by howler choruses) gorgeous sunsets. One rainy am a spider monkey appeared on the deck, tip toed around coffee cup and jumped into the trees. He was with a troop of family and we spent hours simply watching, filming photographing them leaping tree to tree including Mom's w baby. Also regurlarly saw tons of birds including toucans, maccaws 2x the Agouti's that nest here. Easy walking to Biesanz, and Espadilla beaches. Short walk to excellent restaurants such as Samui Thai, , Emilio's w spectacular view + delish food and add Tulacafe on the Tulamare resort with insanely beautiful view and yummy food. Manuel Anotonio Park w a guide = great fun. Sarah and Bismarck were both incredibly responsive. This was one of my favorite trips i have ever taken and we would be back in a heartbeat.

We woke up here to literal squirrel monkeys climbing around the porch. This place truly makes you feel like you’re staying in the middle of the jungle, with beautiful views overlooking the beach. The beach itself is within walking distance, and downtown Manuel Antonio is close by as well, which made everything super convenient. This home was an amazing place to relax and take in the nature around us. I would highly recommend this place for couples or smaller families looking for a unique stay!
