Tim's place was outstanding. If you get the chance to stay there, do. It was simply amazing. The pool, the space, the beds, and of course, the unbelievable views from the 2 massive balconies. Tim was a wonderful, friendly and very helpful host. I just cannot recommend this place enough, it was the highlight of our holiday in Costa Rica. Thanks Tim, pura vida.

The pictures don’t do the house justice. It’s absolutely beautiful, and the view was spectacular. Tim is amazing, he coordinated all our activities and made great recommendations. We have only been gone a few hours and we miss it already. We will be back to Pagoda ❤️

5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our stay at this stunning retreat center in Escaleras was nothing short of magical. The view of the ocean is absolutely breathtaking—nestled high in the jungle with cool, refreshing breezes and shaded by the lush canopy, it felt like paradise. Every room was thoughtfully designed and beautifully comfortable, and the pool was a dream—perfect for relaxing and soaking in the peaceful surroundings. We were lucky to witness incredible wildlife right on the property—toucans were everywhere, and we even had a sweet sloth hanging out nearby, which added such a special touch to the experience. We hosted a retreat here and had a wonderful time. Tim, the host, went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and cared for throughout our stay. His warmth and attentiveness made all the difference. If you’re looking for a serene, inspiring space surrounded by nature, with incredible views, vibrant wildlife, and a truly welcoming atmosphere, this is the place.

This house is incredible! The photos of the house stay short of what you get. Rooms are big and confortable, kitchen is fully equipy, pool is cold but great to have fun. And I just cant describe the views and all the wild animals we got to see! Anna, the 3 finger sloth that lives around was the best! We got to see her almost everyday! Tim the owner is easy to reach, fast to answer and always asking if everything is good and if you need something. Definitely a place where me and my family hope to be back again.

First of all and very important is that there is a sloth named Anna who lives on the property, that alone was so great and magical Tim’s house has incredible endless ocean view The unit upstairs is well designed and very comfy The kitchen contains all you need and more to cook and enjoy (like non toxic pots and pans) The yoga deck is perfect with plenty equipment and we even had a class guided by Tim We had a family reunion at the villa and we enjoyed every moment The house is child friendly with loads to explore- there were games and water colours and markers, pool games, nature paths… We had all we needed and more Thank you Tim for your hospitality

We chose Tim’s place for the views and the grounds, and we were not disappointed. Amazing wildlife and lush tropical gardens. Tim was delightful, set us up with chefs, recommendations, directions and brought flowers and fruit for our family. Location is exceptional, very close to small upscale grocery, cafe, restaurant and fresh fruit stand. We were 20-30 minutes away from most major attractions. With that being said, just relaxing on the deck with coffee, watching toucans fly by, and later sunsets with a glass of wine, you may not even want to leave for excursions.

This house and the surroundings surpassed my expectations,such beauty inside and out, The views were spectacular, the bird gorgeous ( and the other wildlife. Each morning we got up to see the sunrise and stared each night at the sunsets. In all my years traveling with my family, this was the first place where relaxation for everyone was instantaneou. We used the decks, and the pool, and with Tim's recommendations, had a chef cook several dinners - the food was sublime. The house alone would have made us happy, but having Tim as a host, added so much to our vacation. In fact, I would say he was one of the highlights. It was a dream come true to have him lead us in yoga practice on the deck. He led us as often was we wanted - which was everyday. He had suggestions for us about where to do, what to eat, and his recommendations were spot on. He is a gem of a human who went out of his way to assure we had a great trip. Our family's age range was 14 to 71. We left so happy.

Must Read! If waking up to birds singing, beautiful gardens, and breath taking ocean views is your thing, then this is the place for you! The house itself is tastefully decorated but not full of “stuff”. Perfectly placed bohemian themed items, plenty of space to gather, and 2 large decks overlooking the Pacific make this the perfect places for a yoga retreat, family getaway, or just a peaceful vacation. The property is surrounded by lush green fauna and colorful flowers. You’ll see papaya trees, banana trees, avocado, coffee plants, pineapple plants and even a cashew bush! We picked fresh flowers to decorate our dinner table each day. We sat on the deck observing the birds, watching sunsets / sunrises, and practicing Yoga daily. Are you looking to host a retreat? This place is perfect! Multiple bedrooms plus 2 casitas on property fit our 10 guests perfectly. Tim was an amazing host - incredibly kind, responsive, and helpful. HIGHLY recommend!! Thank you Tim for everything 🙏

The pictures and description of the place is accurate. But there is no way to describe the feelings of peace and serenity you feel staying at the Pagoda del Loto Azul. Tim is the perfect host and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful trip. He handled the itinerary based on the things our group wanted to do while in Costa Rica. The excursions and the restaurants recommended were exemplary. The Perfect Chef's prepared a scrumptious meal for us -- all arranged by Tim. The accommodations are beautiful and comfortable. The surrounding landscape is incredible. We didn't want to leave and we will definitely be back. If you are planning a trip to Costa Rica, this is the place. It's a little piece of heaven on earth. Beautiful memories were made on this trip.

WOW!!! What an amazing house and what an amazing host. Tim went above and beyond t make our stay memorable and unforgettable. Fantastic communication, perfect advice and an amazing house. Tim took time to get to know us so he could properly support our needs (we were a group of adults, teenagers and younger children). His trip recommendations were outstanding and he was always available to help. The house is exceptional. Beautifully furnished, terrific layout and super pool. The decks were terrific giving perfect views over the gardens and beyond. We saw sloths in the garden, toucans and a fantastic range of wildlife without even leaving the property. We couldn't recommend this house enough - thank you Tim
