A one-bedroom upstairs condo near Montezuma’s waterfall trail, Casa Mirador sleeps four with a full kitchen, washer, private entrance, shared pool, and wildlife-filled yard.
Location
Casa Mirador is situated just a few minutes uphill from Montezuma. It is conveniently close to the trail leading to the upper waterfall and approximately a 20-minute walk from the town center.
The Space
This upstairs apartment features a private entrance and shares a pool with Casa Tranquila. It offers a full kitchen and a washing machine for guest use. The bedroom is spacious, equipped with a full-size bed and a bunk bed, while the living room includes a pull-out couch.
Please note that the deck is currently not safe for crawling babies or young toddlers due to wide gaps between the railings, which pose a fall risk. Although a baby gate is available for the stairs, supervision is strongly advised if young children are present.
Amenities and Guest Access
Guests have full access to the entire yard, which includes short trails perfect for bird watching, observing butterflies, and spotting monkeys. The pool is open 24 hours a day for guest enjoyment.

We had a wonderful time at Casa Mirador. The house is in a beautiful spot in the forest. You look just over the trees to the sea. Really nice to sit on the spacious veranda and enjoy the view and the garden. Or to cool off in the pool at any time of the day. Andres is a very nice manager and very helpful. Despite our poor Spanish, we were still able to communicate well with him. Tania responds quickly via the app and has great tips for the surroundings. By the way, Montezuma is also highly recommended! We would have liked to stay a few more days :)

Tania’s place is absolutely amazing. From the first day we arrived we saw so many monkeys. We saw more monkeys here than La Fortuna. The grounds are filled with beautiful plants. The caretakers of the property downstairs are so kind and helpful. My kids really enjoyed the pool. I feel like it’s the perfect distance from Montezuma downtown. It’s only about a five minute drive. Out of all the places I’ve traveled in Costa Rica. Montezuma has been my favorite and I absolutely will be returning and when I do, I would love to stay here again.

Tania is an amazing host. She responds quickly and does everything she can to help. We liked the house with A/C in the bedroom. The best part was the balcony with a table, couch, hammock, and fantastic views of the trees, so you can look for animals from the balcony. It's a bit remote, so it's best to have your own car when you stay here, otherwise you'll need a taxi. However, it is right on the way to the Montezuma waterfall, so you can go there directly from the house. There is a restaurant within easy walking distance. The pool was run-down and would need renovation. It was probably clean and safe, even though it didn't look that way with all the discoloration.

Beautiful location with amazing views of the jungle and the sea. The very large gallery was extremely comfortable and is a plus for this property. It's nice to be able to enjoy the kitchen, as the sea is often rough. Tania was very helpful with various pieces of information. Andrés and Migdalhia were very friendly.

My fiance and I stayed here for a wonderful month and really loved the space! It felt really homey and also super spacious, which is so important for a longer-term stay. The wrap-around porch is incredible, with an ocean view, a hammock, and multiple places to sit and enjoy the sunrise or the passing howler monkeys, who visited often. The pool was lovely and you are only a 10-15 minute walk to the beautiful Montezuma waterfall pools. The caretakers, who live downstairs, were very kind and helpful with anything we needed, and Tania was incredibly communicative, with lots of great local recommendations!
