The villa is designed for rest, relaxation, and family time. If you are looking for a party atmosphere, this property is not the right fit.

The Space

The villa is directly adjacent to the pool and offers spectacular ocean views with beach access. Guests can also enjoy the poolside restaurant and an on-site volleyball net.

• Bedroom 2: Upstairs bedroom with a king bed and ocean views
• Bedroom 3: Upstairs bedroom with two twin beds that can be converted into a king bed

Location and Transportation

Taxis are generally available and can take you anywhere within 10 minutes for 80 pesos, approximately $4. The marina’s shops, activities, and restaurants are about a 10-minute walk away.

Sam’s Club and Super Walmart are approximately 10 minutes away by taxi, costing about $6 USD with a tip. Chedraui supermarket is also nearby, just across the street and slightly down the road. Costco and La Comer are approximately a 15-minute taxi ride away.

Local staff can help arrange a taxi and load your groceries for a small tip of 20–40 pesos, or approximately $1–$2 USD.

Beach Information

The beach has pleasant sand and is ideal for relaxing or playing beach volleyball. It is not suitable for surfing or bodyboarding because the waves break close to shore.

Beach chairs and shade covers are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Turtles are frequently present on the beach from November through April. Please do not disturb them.

Freshwater American crocodiles are native to the area and generally remain in their natural habitat. On rare occasions, such as during heavy storms in the rainy season, crocodiles may be pushed into the bay. Signs around the property advise guests to remain aware.

1. Can we drink the water?

A filtered water dispenser at the kitchen sink provides safe drinking water. We are told by expatriates that the overall water quality in Puerto Vallarta is good and not a cause for concern. As a precaution, we always purchase probiotics from one of the many pharmacies during our trips.

2. Is there a food and beverage package?

No. The units are individually owned. A small restaurant next to the pool serves food and drinks at reasonable prices. A gas barbecue is also available on the patio.

3. How far away is the grocery store?

Sam’s Club and Super Walmart are approximately 10 minutes away by taxi, costing about $6 USD with a tip. Chedraui is a convenient supermarket located just across the street and slightly down the road.

Costco and La Comer, another excellent food market, are approximately 15 minutes away by taxi. Local staff can help arrange transportation and load groceries for a small tip of 20–40 pesos, or approximately $1–$2 USD.

4. Is cleaning service provided?

For stays of one week or longer, the maid comes once a week. For shorter stays, the villa has a washer and dryer with the necessary supplies.

5. Is the airport noise noticeable?

It depends. During the day, planes taking off can be heard from the pool and beach areas, but not from inside the villa. In our experience, flights have not been frequent enough to become a problem.

6. What activities are available?

Local businesses offer many excursions, including:

• Fishing charters
• Snorkeling
• Kayaking
• Zip-lining
• All-terrain vehicle and utility terrain vehicle tours

These activities and many others can be booked at the marina, which is approximately a 10-minute walk away. Whales can also be seen from the patio. Bring binoculars for a better view. We recommend checking TripAdvisor or Yelp for available activities.

7. Is the price negotiable?

No. The listed price is already the best deal available in Puerto Vallarta. The price shown on Airbnb is the final price. Returning five-star guests may receive a better rate on future visits.

No. Pets are not allowed under the strict policy of Bay View Grand.
