Villa Hyacinth

Overview

Wake to views of Lake Atitlán beneath soaring thatched ceilings at Villa Hyacinth. Balinese-inspired architecture complements this 6.4-acre estate, which features tropical gardens, a private beach and dock, and a lake-view hot tub.

The main villa and separate guest house accommodate up to nine guests across three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. Spend slow mornings on the terrace, relax by the water, and enjoy time together in a peaceful setting. Arrival and departure boat transfers from Panajachel are included.

The Space

Main Villa

Rosewood floors and stairways, mahogany doors, and walls built from hand-shaped stone sourced from the estate give the main house its distinctive character. Lake-facing living and dining areas create a welcoming space for gathering, while the equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals at home.

Guest House

The separate, two-story guest house includes a sleeping loft with:

• One queen bed
• Two single beds
• One bunk bed with two sleeping places

Please share your preferred sleeping arrangement before arrival. An alternative layout may be available upon request and confirmation.

The guest house also includes:

• Full bathroom with a shower upstairs
• Half bathroom downstairs

Life by the Lake

Garden paths connect the houses, terraces, outdoor dining areas, and waterfront.

One hot-tub session per day is included and can be coordinated with René between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Please share your plans before arrival so availability, details, and pricing can be confirmed. Kosher kitchen and dining arrangements can also be discussed and arranged in advance.

Guest Access

Villa Hyacinth is reserved for one guest group at a time. The separate guest house is included. For groups of four or fewer, please request the guest house before arrival so it can be prepared.

René and his wife live on the estate. Their accommodation, the service areas, and the laundry room are reserved for staff use. Helicopter arrivals require advance coordination.

Important Information

Planning Your Stay

• Road access involves approximately 300 steps, and additional stairs connect the dock with the villa. Please share any mobility requirements so we can help plan your arrival.
• Families are welcome. Children must be supervised around the lake, hot tub, terraces, and stairs.
• The villa is surrounded by tropical gardens, where insects and other wildlife may occasionally be present.
• The indoor fireplace is decorative and must not be lit. Fires are permitted only in the designated beach fire pit.
• For drinking water, use the designated filtered drinking faucet. Otherwise, use bottled or boiled water.

Early Check-In and Late Checkout

Early check-in and late checkout are subject to availability and written confirmation. Confirmation is normally provided within 24 hours after the calendar and cleaning readiness have been reviewed.

• Up to one hour may be offered free of charge as a courtesy.
• More than one hour and up to three hours costs US$50 per extension.
• More than three hours and up to six hours costs 50% of the applicable adjacent night’s accommodation rate, excluding cleaning and platform fees. The adjacent night must be vacant.
• For more than six hours, or for guaranteed early check-in or late checkout arranged in advance, please book the relevant adjacent night if available.

Payment alone does not guarantee an extension. Previously agreed arrangements will be honored. If a confirmed, paid extension cannot be provided, the extension fee will be refunded.

Optional Airbnb extension fees are arranged through the Resolution Center. Additional nights require a reservation change.

Extensions are normally unavailable when another group checks out and new guests arrive on the same day, allowing sufficient time for a full turnover. Dock arrival, luggage arrangements, and a booked boat departure do not include early access to the house.
