The open great-room design connects the indoor and outdoor areas through French doors that lead to a covered patio and artisanal pizza oven. The main retreat features an elegant peaked roofline, private balcony, copper soaking tub, and suspended bed, allowing you to wake up to breathtaking sunrises over the Sea of Cortez.

The Space

Casa Sueños showcases classic Spanish Colonial architecture, a style seldom found in Baja Sur, with traditional details throughout.

The interior was designed by Betsy as part of her personal interior design vision, Candy Colored Dreams. She oversaw every detail, from concrete finishing and staining to the final decorations.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

Upstairs Master Bedroom

The upstairs master bedroom includes a swinging rope queen-size bed and three sets of French doors opening onto a private balcony.

The balcony offers:

• Breathtaking eastern views of the Sea of Cortez, Isla Cerralvo, and Punta Arena
• Western views of the desert hills
• Beautiful sunsets at the end of the day

The upstairs bathroom features a copper soaking tub from mainland Mexico with a handheld shower.

Across the hall is a twin-bed lounge area suitable for sleeping, watching movies, or viewing kiteboarding demonstrations.

Downstairs Bedroom

The downstairs bedroom includes:

• A queen-size bed
• An armoire
• An adjoining custom bathroom

The bathroom features:

• Limestone counters
• Rough onyx with underlighting
• An exterior plumbed copper shower with handheld attachment

The beach is just steps away.

Kitchen and Outdoor Cooking

The gourmet kitchen is designed for cooking and entertaining, with a center island for gathering, food preparation, baking, or blending margaritas.

Kitchen features include:

• Six-burner gas range
• Double-drawer refrigerator
• Concrete counters with an integral sink
• Multiple cooking appliances
• Keurig coffee machine
• Bialetti stovetop coffee maker
• French press

Outside, guests can use the wood-fired barbecue and traditional brick oven, also known as a horno.

Entertainment and Wi-Fi

Guests may use their own Wi-Fi accounts from home to watch favorite movies and shows through services such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon.

A home guidebook is provided to answer questions about the property and surrounding area.

Guest Access

Guests have access to the entire property, excluding the vehicle bodega.

Additional amenities include:

• Outdoor shower near the back or entrance door of the house
• Large refrigerator and freezer in the adjacent walk-in bodega
• New washing machine in the outdoor bodega
• Clothespins for hanging laundry

The additional refrigerator and freezer provide extra storage for items that do not fit in the two-drawer refrigerator.

Air Conditioning

Air conditioning may be used during the summer months. Please remove the air-conditioning unit covers before turning the units on.

An additional air-conditioning usage fee applies.

Additional Guest and Pet Policies

There is an additional charge for guests beyond six people.

Dogs may be considered on a case-by-case basis. To be considered, please provide the breed, weight, and photos of each pet. Smaller, non-shedding breeds are preferred.

A per-pet, per-day fee applies in addition to the rental fees.

Transportation

A rental car is necessary for convenient transportation to and from the airport, around the village, and to nearby beaches, markets, and restaurants. Both four-wheel-drive and two-wheel-drive vehicles are suitable.

Shuttle Service

Samuel Lucero Shuttle Company is the oldest, most experienced, dependable, and licensed transportation service in La Ventana and El Sargento.

The company provides airport transportation in a comfortable, new, air-conditioned van.

Local Shopping and Payments

Ultramarinos Oscaritos market offers groceries, fresh vegetables, local cheese, bacon, and other supplies for your stay. Special orders are also available.

United States dollars and pesos are accepted for cash payments. Using a debit card at the ATM at Oscaritos and other local establishments is recommended for obtaining pesos or dollars.

There are no banks in El Sargento or La Ventana. Many establishments, including grocery stores, accept credit cards, often with the best exchange rate.
