The Space
Luxurious Casa Del Rey Villa is situated in the heart of the renowned Tamarindo Beach. This private, gated villa offers a peaceful retreat just steps away from the beach, surfing spots, restaurants, nightlife, and shopping. It is only a short two-minute walk from the shore.
The villa spans over 3,000 square feet and features four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to 10 guests, ideal for two families. Each room is fully air-conditioned. The property includes security and maid service.
The villa contains three king-size beds, two twin beds, a fold-out couch, and the option to rent a double rollaway bed through property management. The fourth bedroom is a private suite located above the garage with its own entrance from the pool area. This suite includes a bathroom with a shower, refrigerator, microwave, sitting table, king-size bed, and TV, making it a perfect private space for parents, friends, or family members seeking extra privacy.
The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, including a coffee maker, blender, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, stove, and refrigerator with an ice maker. It also features granite countertops, cooking utensils, and an eat-at island.
The home is beautifully furnished and includes a smart TV with Wi-Fi. The villa uses an advanced Eero mesh Wi-Fi system, ensuring fast and reliable internet coverage throughout the entire house, including the studio apartment.
Additional indoor features include a dining nook adjacent to the kitchen, a living room that opens onto the patio and terrace, an inside laundry room with washer and dryer, linens, bath and beach towels, and a hairdryer.

My family loved this place and we'd stay here again! The layout was perfect for us, and we made good use of the pool. The location was ideal in our opinion, close to everything in Tamarindo, but private and quiet. Golf carts helped to make all the restaurants, markets, and shops feel super accessible. We had a few problems during our stay, including a shower not working upon arrival, and then the water temporarily going out for the whole house. Blue Zone management was quick to respond to these problems and get them resolved. The locks on the gate and the house door were consistently tricky but manageable with some patience. I felt safe here and loved that the beach was just a quick walk away. It was easy enough to walk up and start some laundry or grab snacks while the group was enjoying the beach. The bedroom with twin beds does not have direct access to a shower without going into another bedroom, but our kids used that room so it was fine, and the half bath helped. Pura vida!

Audrey was great! I was pretty high maintenance before we got there with a lot of questions but she was super responsive and always patient and had great recommendations. The place was exactly as described and close to everything in Tamarindo and a quick walk to the beach. Clean and had everything we needed.

The place is as advertised. It is on the north edge of town and the beach where the estuary meets the ocean. You walk about 150 yards, cross the street to beach access next to a nice bar/restaurant and you’re on the beach. It is well equipped for those who cook and the pool area is great. I highly recommend the property.

The stay at this house was excellent. It was clean and the house was well organized, and laid out. The pool was great and the outdoor shower was great to clean off from the saltwater and the sand. The house itself is in close proximity to great food and great entertainment. The house itself is very close in proximity to the beach for swimming and surfing and general family fun. I would definitely stay at this place again.

Lovely place! Perfect location! I’d say my only complaint, which is very minor- is the door to the house is really finicky and it was hard to get in & out/secure. Door would automatically lock and close. A minor inconvenience, but a padlock may be a better, easier option for guests. Overall, we loved the place and the host was wonderful and responsive! Perfect for our 2 families and the kids had a blast in the heated pool! Thank you!!

A wonderful week over the Christmas break - we would stay here again! We are a family of four (with two adult children) and had loads of room to spread out. The kitchen had all the tools we needed and food basics like salt and pepper, tea, oil, and coffee. Laundry and d/w soap provided. We took advantage of the option to preorder our groceries, which was a huge timesaver. The owner was quick to respond when we had questions, and we were very happy with the Blue Zone management company, who organized taxis and activities, as well as cleaning - it can get a bit dusty by the pool. The property is at a great location, 5 minutes walk to the beach and another 5 or 10 minutes to all sorts of restaurants/bars. Worth noting that the Crazy Monkey bar, which is right around the corner, is open late on Friday nights and can be loud (we didn't notice on other nights). Highly recommend the estuary tour (10 min walk) and Lazy Lizard catamaran. We loved the Santa Rita cafe and Dragonfly restaurant.
