The Space
This comfortable apartment is nestled within the Monteverde Cloud Forest, just a 10 to 15-minute drive from downtown Monteverde. It offers a peaceful and natural setting, designed to provide a homely atmosphere and ensure guests feel at ease throughout their stay.
The apartment includes two separate bedrooms, each decorated with vases of fresh flowers and equipped with bathrobes and extra bedding. One bedroom features a whirlpool bathtub. The bathroom has hot water for your comfort.
A cozy reading room is available, along with a fully equipped kitchen stocked with essentials to prepare a delicious breakfast or enjoy at any time. The kitchen supplies include:

Location and Views
The apartment is situated in the heart of the forest, featuring a beautiful balcony, green spaces, and small trails surrounded by the Monteverde Cloud Forest. From the rooms and balcony, you can often see the Pacific Ocean through the Gulf of Nicoya and its islands, especially in the mornings when the fog clears.
The area is rich in wildlife, with frequent sightings of flowers, hummingbirds, butterflies, and occasionally coatis, agoutis, and monkeys. Mornings are accompanied by a chorus of birdsong, and you may spot various bird species during your stay.

There place was one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica. We used the jacuzzi both nights which had great views. Jarvey was quick to respond to questions I had on finding their place and options for nearby adventures. He even helped book one for us which was awesome. A gift basket with snacks was waiting for us along with a few drinks and fruits also. I was a little nervous driving up to their place due to the road conditions but Jarvey assured me a 4x4 was not necessary and sure enough we made it! We all enjoyed our stay at this house and would recommend it if you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle. It was only a 5 minute drive to restaurants and shops. Pura Vida!

What a beautiful place to stay! The view from the balcony was amazing - we could see all the way to the Pacific Ocean! We also saw Coati’s and hummingbirds from the balcony. Jarvey & his family were brilliant hosts, from sorting out excursions to leaving us homemade jam as well as dropping by to deliver some fresh bananas! We loved our stay here and would highly recommend to anyone who is looking to visit Monteverde! Thank you Jarvey!!

My family of 3 loved our stay at Jarvey’s place! The view was amazing. We lucked out and had blue skies and pleasant weather the whole 3 nights we were there. We very much enjoyed sitting on the covered deck while eating breakfast and watching the birds, hummingbirds, toucan, coatis and agoutis. Beautiful sunsets too! Beds were comfortable. Jarvey left us a wonderful basket with some fruit and eggs to include in our breakfast. The road to the house is steep and requires 4x4 but many roads in Monteverde are like that so it wasn’t an issue for us. We would stay again and highly recommend!!

We very much enjoyed our short stay at this property. It was very nicely appointed and the views over-looking the mountains and viewing the Pacific Ocean were great. The patio was the highlight of the property and we enjoyed the hot tub.

Words cannot describe how tranquil and serene Jarvey & Flor’s place is! Their place backs up to a nature preserve and we sat on the balcony each morning and evening and saw so much wildlife- toucans, cappibarras, hummingbirds, etc. they were such gracious hosts and so easy to communicate with. They even stocked the fridge so we would have breakfast on our 1st day and arranged for a night hike with nature guide. Their place is absolutely heaven! I wholeheartedly recommend it!!

We are a family of 4 who stayed for a week in March of 2026. Jarvey's place is great. It's very peaceful and quiet. The hill up to the house is quite steep. We were staying without a car and would walk in to town for breakfast each day. The walk down is easy and about 10 min to restaurants. You can always take a cab back if the hill is too much, the cabs in town are all 4 wheel drive.

Absolutely gorgeous location and wonderful, welcoming hosts. Amazing home in a great location. We loved the gardens, view, and local wildlife.
