The Space

Nestled on idyllic Jaltemba Bay, Puesta Del Sol Resort offers an exclusive oceanfront experience surrounded by nature-inspired luxury. The six unique villas accommodate up to 26 adults, making the resort ideal for family and friend gatherings, corporate events, weddings, and celebrations.

The resort’s infinity pool and private dining pier are striking architectural features that immerse guests in the surrounding natural beauty while preserving their privacy.

Chef-prepared breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available. Meals are prepared in the resort kitchen and served in areas with spectacular views, including the adjacent seating area and dining pier. Head chef Daniel creates delicious, innovative meals using locally sourced ingredients and a variety of cuisines tailored to each group’s preferences.

Villa Pearl offers 1,281 square feet of indoor living space and a large ocean-view patio. Although it provides exceptional privacy, the villa is only steps from the resort’s expansive infinity pool and beach access.

A floor-to-ceiling, west-facing retractable glass wall provides unobstructed views of the ocean and Isla del Coral. The villa includes two luxurious bedrooms, a half bathroom near the living area, and a full chef-style kitchen.

Villa Whale — Villa 2

Villa Whale provides 1,453 square feet of living space and features a west-facing retractable glass wall with unobstructed views of the ocean and Isla del Coral. The villa includes two luxurious bedrooms and a full chef-style kitchen.

• Bedroom 3: Located on the second floor, this bedroom features a custom rounded king bed, breathtaking ocean views, a television, a private ocean-facing balcony, and an ensuite bathroom with biophilic design elements intended to create a renewing atmosphere.

Villa Seahorse — Villa 3

Villa Seahorse offers 1,615 square feet of living space. It includes two luxurious bedrooms with private bathrooms, a half bathroom near the main living area, and a full chef-style kitchen.

Villa Crab — Villa 4

Villa Crab offers 2,357 square feet of indoor living space. A large glass wall and numerous windows provide unobstructed views of the ocean and Isla del Coral.

The villa includes four luxurious bedrooms, three with private ensuite bathrooms, a half bathroom near the living area, and a full chef-style kitchen.

• Bedroom 7: Located on the second floor, this spacious bedroom features a custom rectangular king bed, a television, expansive ocean views, and a private balcony. Its luxurious ensuite bathroom includes a shower ceiling that opens to the sky, creating a soothing connection with nature.
• Bedroom 8: Located on the first floor, this bedroom features a custom rounded king bed, ocean views, a television, and an ensuite bathroom with biophilic design elements. The bathroom includes a freestanding rain shower and a large soaking bathtub.
• Bedroom 9: Located on the first floor, this bedroom offers a custom rounded king bed, a television, and a private bathroom designed to connect guests with nature and enhance their well-being.
• Bedroom 10: Located on the first floor, this bedroom features a custom rounded king bed, a television, and a large glass wall overlooking the ocean and Isla del Coral. It is the only bedroom at the resort without an ensuite bathroom.

Villa Dolphin — Villa 5

Villa Dolphin offers 1,206 square feet of living space on the top floor, with breathtaking views of the ocean and Isla del Coral.

The villa includes one large bedroom, a luxurious ensuite bathroom, a full chef-style kitchen, and a half bathroom near the living room.

• Bedroom 11: Features a custom rectangular king bed, breathtaking ocean views, a television, a private ocean-view balcony, and a luxurious bathroom with a rain shower. The shower ceiling opens to the sky and views of the surrounding trees, creating a soothing connection with nature.

Villa Turtle — Villa 6

Villa Turtle offers exceptional privacy while remaining just steps from the resort’s expansive infinity pool and beach access. It provides 1,292 square feet of indoor living space, two luxurious bedrooms, and a full chef-style kitchen.

• Bedroom 12: Features a custom rectangular king bed, wonderful jungle views, a television, a private balcony, and an ensuite bathroom with biophilic design elements intended to create a soothing, rejuvenating space.

The snorkeling equipment can be used to explore the abundant underwater life around the 100-meter-wide reef located 50 meters offshore from the resort.

Location and Activities

Puesta Del Sol Resort’s location on Jaltemba Bay in Nayarit provides convenient access to the region’s natural attractions.

A short 15-minute boat ride can take guests to:

• The world-class La Caleta surf break
• Spearfishing and snorkeling locations at Coral Island
• Dorado fishing in the bay
• Several secluded beaches

Adventure guide Augustine can be hired to accompany guests by boat. For additional adventure, Agustine can guide guests on an ATV jungle excursion in the Sierra Madre mountains.

Wildlife and Ecotourism

A Mexican sea turtle protection preserve is located just down the beach from the resort. Six of the world’s seven sea turtle species arrive in Mexico each year between May and November to nest and lay their eggs.

The sea turtle release program in Riviera Nayarit supports the recovery of endangered species. Nesting season in Nayarit runs from May through September, and the incubation period lasts approximately six to eight weeks. Baby sea turtle releases at La Penita Beach typically begin in August and continue through November.

Guests can participate in this interactive, educational, and emotional experience while helping improve the survival rate of newly hatched turtles.

Other wildlife experiences include:

• Swimming with whale sharks, the largest fish on the planet, which can measure 40 feet or more. These slow-moving, filter-feeding fish primarily eat plankton, crustaceans, and small fish and pose no threat to humans. Whale sharks migrate to Riviera Nayarit from May through September, the ideal season for swimming with them.
• Viewing blue-footed boobies on tours to Marietas Islands National Park, Isla Lobos, Isla Isabel, and the San Blas mangrove ecoregion. The best time
