While the accommodations themselves were very nice, our overall experience left us feeling that this property was not the best value for the money. One of the biggest drawbacks was the cost of the on-site amenities. The restaurants, shuttle services & other offerings were significantly more expensive than what we found elsewhere on San Pedro Island. Many of the services felt marked up compared to finding a vendor directly. We were also disappointed with the concierge . Communication was often difficult & arranging services was more complicated than it should have been. When booking a golf cart rental, we found the process confusing & lacked transparency. Payments appeared to be routed under multiple different businesses, making it unclear who was actually providing the service & what was paid for. After doing more research, we learned that the price we paid was high.

overall, my stay at Mahogany Bay closer to heaven was good. Check-in was smooth. The property was big, beautiful and peaceful. I and my friends had our own rooms that were spacious a huge living room and a huge kitchen. We were close to majority of the places that we wanted to go to, which was helpful. I will rate the property in eight out of 10. We did have an issue with dirty sheets as they were stained and I believe it was the housekeeping lady, that was about to come into our Airbnb while we were still there before checkout, though I told them we would be checking out around 10 she came around nine. If I didn’t walk out of my room I wouldn’t have seen her Other than that, I would recommend mahogany Bay villas as it was very convenient overall a nice experience and at a very reasonable price versus a hotel

Beautiful villa that looks just like the photos. The home is spacious, well designed, and the pool area is wonderful. Overall the property is very nice and well maintained. The location, however, is a bit off the beaten path which made getting around less convenient than expected. There is a small store on the property, but the wait for coffee in the mornings was quite long. Where the stay missed the mark was in the small details that usually define a luxury experience. Simple amenities like shampoo, conditioner, coffee in the room, Q-tips, or cotton swabs were not provided. Amenities were also not clearly listed in the room unless using the app. A few other small things stood out: the bathroom mats looked used, the first bedroom didn’t have a TV like the others, and there was no main light switch so we relied on a bedside lamp. We were also charged $19.50 for a stained pool towel, which we paid. Overall a beautiful home, but a few thoughtful touches would elevate the experience.
