Casa Howler is an amazing villa that is just a short walk to beach, and close to shops and restaurants in Potrero. Easily accommodated our 4 adults and 4 teens with lots of space to spread out. We loved the pool, strong A/C, and the beach gear. Don’t miss out on the sunsets, local yoga at the boutique hotel nearby, and having Veronica cook a meal for you. She was lovely and the meal was delicious! The area felt very safe— there was is a security guard on the premises at night, which didn’t feel necessary, but was a welcome addition. Salty was an amazing host and super responsive and helpful! Highly recommend as a home base in the Guanacaste area!

We loved our stay at Casa Howler! The host was responsive and accommodating, and helped us with car services as well as find local spots like a grocery store. The house was absolutely beautiful and was mere steps from the beach! This was our first time in Playa Portrero, but certainly not our last!

Casa Howler was the perfect location for our vacation with our adult children, there was lots of room for everyone to spread out and the air conditioning worked perfectly. It was close to the beach, walkable to grocery stores and restaurants. Potrero beach was the perfect beach not crowded and just the perfect waves for playing in. I would recommend this location in a heartbeat.

The house was beautiful - spacious, great flow and everything felt new and pristine. And the host (Salty) was extremely responsive and helpful. He connected us with great local activities and people. I would highly recommend this place and host!

House is huge and looks even better than the pics. It’s modern and beautiful. The beach is a block away and was very calm and swimmable. Lots of bars and restaurants in walking distance and lots of other beaches to drive too as well. Could not ask for more.
