At Castillo de la Riviera, we speak Quebec French, Spanish, and English. We live on-site and value a quiet, clean, and comfortable environment for everyone. Guests can expect a warm welcome and friendly company, whether watching monkeys pass through, relaxing in a hammock, or working from one of the outdoor areas.
Location and Transportation
We are located on the main road between Hotel Plinio and Hotel Mono Azul, approximately 1 kilometer uphill from Quepos toward Manuel Antonio Park and Beach, on the right-hand, west side of the road. Search for “Castillo de la Riviera” on any GPS or navigation app.
Public buses run every 15–20 minutes and cost less than one dollar. They are a safe and convenient way to get around. Quepos’ weekend farmers market is approximately a 15-minute walk away and takes place on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.

Julie was extremely helpful and a very nice person. She gave us flexibility with check-in and responded super fast. I feel like it was actually me who took a long time to respond. She was an excellent host, very attentive. The only thing that worried me was the car, since the parking lot is on the road, but that's all.

The internet is unstable. There could be a rice cooker in the kitchen, and it would be good to have A/C in both bedrooms and the living room.

Good location and easy to find. The space is more for families than for 2 couples, as there is no privacy. The bathroom has no privacy. It’s open at the top and even reaches the kitchen-living room. To get to the last room, you have to go through the first room. Maintenance was needed (blinds, windows, curtains, etc.). All this, and communication has been fast and efficient.

We stayed for 3 nights and loved it. It's very beautiful and run by a Quebecer, which is good because he speaks French. Everything was there for cooking, and it was clean and functional. The view was beautiful and the pool was very good. The person on site was very nice, and the owners' pets are very calm and affectionate!
