We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa el Mirlo! My wife and I stayed for the week with our 3 kids (7, 11 & 16) and we were really able to unwind. The house is beautiful with a very convenient layout and fitted with all the necessities. The bedrooms are spacious and beds quite comfortable. We definitely appreciated the blackout shades in every room! We spent many hours in the pool and lounging on the comfortable deck. Lia was very responsive, she graciously answered all our questions and even helped us with transportation arrangements. Playa Grande is a great destination to unplug and reset. This area is not at all mainstream, no tourist traps or crowds. It's the perfect town to get away from the busyness of life. The beach here is so peaceful and only a short walk from the property. We'll likely rent a golf cart or car for convenience next time, but we were easily able to get around town by foot or Uber, and securing rides to and from activities out of town was simple. Amazing place!

We (a family of 5) stayed at Casa Mirlo for 5 nights, from April 21st – April 26th, 2026. Our family ranged in age from 30 to 68. The house was magnificent and the layout which included 4 bedrooms was perfect for our family. There was plenty of space for all of us and we had everything we needed to make our 5 night stay great. The living room/kitchen was very conducive to preparing and enjoying family meals and for playing card games and watching movies. We spent a lot of time sitting by the pool, just outside the living room/kitchen. Our host Lia addressed a very minor issue within 15 minutes of us messaging her through Air BNB. This is excellent customer service!! Additional highlights include: 1. The proximity to the beach for swimming or surfing was incredible. Only a 5 minute walk. 2. The house had a washer/dryer, which we could use when we needed. 3. There were multiple restaurants and snack bars within a 5-10 minute walk. 4. The garage area was huge and definitely sufficient

We recently spent five nights at Casa el Mirlo, hosted by Lia. This house is beautiful. We drove over in the dark after landing in Liberia - super instructions for finding the house in the dark. The house looks easily as nice, if not nicer, than the pictures. Top quality on everything. Really good water pressure and the beds are very comfortable. Everything was in order. Easy to get in to the gate and plenty of parking. The ACs keep the bedrooms and living room super cold. The views to the ocean are beautiful. Just up the hill from the beach, which is about a 6 minute walk. Also walking distance to several really good restaurants - we tried both RipJack Inn and Pots & Bowls, and both are fantastic. Lia was super responsive (even late at night) and very accommodating. We had no issues at all.

We had a great stay, particularly enjoying the well stocked kitchen and pool areas. We had a bit of a hiccup with the water service upon arrival, and Lia had it fixed ASAP.

Wonderful stay at this Airbnb with a group of friends! Hosts were super responsive and helpful when a few issues came up during the stay. We booked a dinner with a private chef for our last night and it was delicious and a special experience. We will be back!

Lia was a hospitable and gracious host. Lia was quick to respond to all our questions. This house has Amazing views, pictures are accurate The sunsets are spectacular. The house is close to many beaches and amenities , very centrally located. We would definitely return.

A great place to stay in playa grande. Lia is a great host she was very helpful and quick to respond to any of our requests. The house looks just like the pics the location is perfect : a few min walk to beach and you can easily walk to nearby restaurants . I highly recommend it.

Lia ist eine sehr hilfsbereite Person. Hat uns tolle Tipps gegeben und war stets für uns erreichbar. Wir hatten sogar kurzfristig bei Ankunft unserer anschließenden Station in La Fortuna gedacht unsere Pässe in der Villa vergessen zu haben. Lia reagiert sofort und war bereit uns zu helfen. Erfreulicher Weise sind die Dokumente doch bei uns gewesen und wir mussten nicht auf Lias Hilfe zurückgreifen die 4 Std Autofahrt irgendwie zu überbrücken... Auch die Villa steht der Beschreibung und den Fotos nichts nach. Wir waren schon fast traurige gewesen gehen zu müssen, obwohl unser Urlaub gerade erst halb rum war und noch ein weitere Woche Urlaub in La Fortuna vor uns lag - so sehr haben wir die den Aufenthalt in der Villa am Playa Grande geliebt. Wir können nur Positives berichten, empfehlen daher jedem diesen Geheimtipp und haben fest vor wieder zu kommen. Vielen Dank liebe Lia! Pura Vida!

Casa Mirlo is stunning! It's such a wonderful, well-appointed and unique house that definitely has a WOW factor. The location was everything we could have hoped for. We loved all of the furnishings and amenities - everything from the bathroom linens and toiletries to how the kitchen was stocked with gorgeous flatware and wine glasses. Plus, they had pool towels and beach gear (with a wagon!) for guest use. The house is even better than the pictures but what really stood out was the level of care and consideration from Lia & Ryan. We encountered a situation early into our stay and they handled it in such a way that went above and beyond. Because they live locally, it was super easy to communicate and they made sure we had everything we needed. You can't always say this about a vacation rental property, but we truly felt taken care of. Highly recommend!
