The Space

The expansive outdoor terrace is covered by a pergola and roof, featuring a custom-built teak dining table that seats 12, crafted from beautiful local wood. The terrace also offers four lounge chairs, two hammocks, a comfortable sofa, and a swing bench, creating an inviting space for sunbathing and relaxation.
A 20-foot by 13-foot pool, five feet deep, is prominently situated on the terrace, providing a refreshing spot to cool off while enjoying the spectacular scenery. From this elevated vantage point, guests can watch boats return to the marina at sunset.
The first floor includes a roof-covered outdoor terrace with a six-person jacuzzi and a teak dining table. This level has a separate private entrance, making it ideal for families, couples, or friends seeking privacy while sharing the communal areas upstairs.

Inside, the home is well air-conditioned and boasts soaring 12-foot ceilings. The open-concept kitchen and living area are designed for comfort and entertaining. The main living room includes a king-sized sofa bed, accommodating two additional guests, and features a custom teak entertainment center with a TV offering cable and streaming apps.
On the first floor, there is a second living room with an open kitchen. This space includes a queen-sized sofa bed, providing sleeping arrangements for two more guests.
Gourmet Kitchens
Casa Mono Montaña is equipped with two fully stocked gourmet kitchens, one on each floor. Both kitchens feature extra-large islands, modern appliances, cookware, and dishware. Amenities include a coffee maker, a large refrigerator with an ice maker and chilled water dispenser, and all necessary tools to prepare delicious meals.

Had my bachelorette here with 10 girls! The views are beautiful. The house is beautiful. We caught the most gorgeous sunset on the first night. Luis was so amazing, understanding, responsive and helpful. 10/10 experience. Will be back.

Family of 9. Our entire stay was amazing. Luis, our concierge, went above and beyond and was helpful with our late check in (after midnight) and his extra instructions to find the house were perfect. We ordered groceries for the night we checked in which was very helpful but a little pricey so I recommend you only order necessities. Highly recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle to make it up the hill to the property as the road is commonly wet from rain. The included maid service was very professional with flexible arrival times. Unfortunately you cannot opt out of this service. There are other workers that come to the house but they are polite when working around you. The house and pool were clean and had amenities that ranged from a rice cooker to pool floaties. We saw many beautiful birds and even white face monkeys in the early morning. The town of Quepos and Manuel Antonio were easy to get around and the locals are friendly. Quick access to Maxi Palí (Walmart), shops, and the beach.

Casa Mono Montaña was exactly as pictured- paradise! It was perfect for my husband, two young children, and my in-laws with bedrooms and balconies on two floors. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and eating at the large table on the patio with extraordinary views. Daily housekeeping included laundry which was a huge bonus. Excellent location with access to the beach with chairs/umbrellas. The concierge service was responsive and extremely helpful (thanks, Luis!). I can’t recommend highly enough and would love to return.

This home is definitely the place to be in Costa Rica! It has it all. You will feel on top of the world with the mountain, ocean and all the wildlife, yet still close to tons of shopping and restaurants.

Casa Mono Montaña is absolutely outstanding. The pictures don’t even do it justice in terms of just how breathtaking this spot is. Our family was so comfortable and the house had everything you could ever possibly need. The location is wonderful putting you right into all the fun of the area in Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Lots of wonderful restaurants in a short drive and beaches. You definitely a good vehicle to get up that hill, and while we didn’t use the many of the services offered through the house, it was great to know those were available. The daily cleaning included was so wonderful too.

We enjoyed our stay here and appreciated very much the unexpected early check-in on the day we arrived. The views and comfort of the home are wonderful. The pool is lovely, and the macaws and other birds were a treat. Our standout was meals with Sofia and her team. They were at the home every day and were lovely to be around and produced delicious dishes for us. They cleaned up the kitchen like professionals until they arrived again to prepare meals. Only concern—Just make sure you have very good communication with the concierge regarding who and when people will be coming to the home. We had a scary instance in which we heard noise inside the home while we were sleeping. By the time we got our clothes on and opened the bedroom door, someone we had never seen before was in the bathroom standing in front of our open safe. It was shocking to us. Another time, the pool man was there unannounced while I was taking a shower in the master bath, with a window to the pool from the waist up.

The house was amazing and Luis was so helpful and responsive. We loved our stay at mono Montana. The place was very clean and the maids came each day. We couldn’t ask for a better place to stay.
