Beautifully renovated in 2024, this elegant family home is located one block from Plaza San Diego, close to Cartagena’s leading restaurants, boutiques, and the Serrezuela Shopping Center.
Built around a spacious central patio, the home combines local craftsmanship with contemporary comfort. A dedicated team provides daily housekeeping, home-cooked meals, maintenance, and in-house security, creating a peaceful and private retreat in the historic heart of the city.
The Space
The house is well suited to families, groups of friends, or event guests seeking a central stay with the comfort of home, distinctive design, thoughtful service, and historic character.
The property extends across three levels and features two facades. A fully staffed team supports a comfortable, private, and seamless experience.
Ground Floor
A traditional entrance vestibule with wooden benches and local textiles opens into the spacious main living room, which includes:
- A large central sofa
- Low tables
- Artisanal armchairs
- Original wooden furniture
- Artwork by local artists
- A smart television
The vestibule leads to the generous central patio, the heart of the house. It features:
- A 4.50 × 4.50-meter jacuzzi-style pool with a depth of 1.20 meters
- A shaded lounge with sofas and armchairs
- A sunken bench area
- Palm trees
- A Bluetooth speaker
The ground floor also includes a laundry room with a washing machine, dryer, and hand-washing sink.
Five bedrooms are located on this level:
- Three bedrooms with king beds, each consisting of two 1.00 × 1.90-meter single beds
- Two bedrooms with queen beds measuring 1.60 × 1.90 meters
- A private bathroom in every bedroom
- Air conditioning
- A ceiling fan
- Natural light and ventilation
- Access to either the street or the interior patio
A large dining area features a custom-designed wooden table for 12 guests, paired with mixed-design chairs. Beside it is a relaxed lounge corner with locally designed rocking chairs and side tables.
The adjacent kitchen is fully equipped and includes:
- Premium hardware
- Filtered drinking water
- Designer ceramics
- A contemporary local aesthetic
Upper Floor
Two independent wooden cabins house the remaining bedrooms. Each cabin includes:
- A queen bed measuring 1.60 × 1.90 meters
- A private bathroom
- Air conditioning
- A ceiling fan
This level also features:
- A bright lounge with reading chairs and poufs
- Large windows
- A coworking area with a long wooden table and seating for 6 to 8 people
Third-Floor Lookout
Stairs lead to the third-floor lookout, or mirador. A wooden perimeter bench provides a comfortable place to enjoy the sun, breeze, and rooftop views, accompanied by music from a Bluetooth speaker.
Guest Access
Guests have exclusive access to the entire house, except for the private service area.
The base price covers 8 guests. An additional fee of $50 USD per person applies for each guest beyond 8, up to a maximum of 14 guests.
Important Information
- Please specify the total number of guests, as this affects the booking cost. A daily fee of $50 USD per guest beyond the 8-person limit is automatically included in the Airbnb rate.
- Check-in is at 2:00 PM.
- Check-out is at 12:00 PM.
- Late check-out until 4:00 PM may be available for an additional fee of $200 USD. It must be requested with the reservation and can only be confirmed according to the house schedule.
- Guests not included in the reservation may not stay at the property.
- The house manager will provide several sets of exterior door keys. All keys must be returned. A compensation fee of $40 USD will be charged for each unreturned key.
- The house has a robust Wi-Fi system with speeds of 100–300 MB and five UniFi access-point mesh LANs distributed by sector to provide a reliable connection.
- Security cameras monitor the exterior entrance.
- To comply with Colombian tax regulations, an electronic invoice will be sent to you. An email address is required for this purpose.
- In accordance with local and government regulations, all guests must complete a tourist card and present a valid identity document.
- The property follows the Manual of Responsible Tourism Practices established by local authorities, including:
- Preventing and reporting the commercial sexual exploitation of children and adolescents
- Preventing the illegal trafficking of fauna and flora

Joaquim's place is much more than you expect to find. The house is spectacular, comfortable, unbeatable location, and the support of the service people is amazing. We really felt right at home, and we hope to return very soon.

The house was as described on the platform: comfortable, well equipped, and perfect for lounging. There were always at least two people in charge of cleaning and cooking, which made our experience even more enjoyable. Also, there was a very attentive manager who made sure everything was in order during our stay. We really enjoyed the house, the food they prepared was delicious and the location is excellent, with many things around. Overall, we loved the place and highly recommend it!

You can not ask for a better location. Joaquim was responsive and a great host. Pictures speak for themselves. It was comfortable for our large group. Walkable to anything in the Center of Cartagena. Jaime and the help were amazing. I can definitely recommend this home.

We stayed at Joaquim's house for 4 nights for a Bachelor Party. The place is exactly as it appears in the pictures (beautiful). From the second we reserved, Joaquim's communications were superb! Once on-site, the property is managed by Don Jaime, who is truly welcoming and is onsite and super helpful. In addition to Don Jaime, this property has a staff of 2-3 lovely ladies that helped us with Breakfasts and laundry (another pair of amazing people). The location is great (close enough to pretty much anything but also not too close where you worry about random people trying to get in). Overall, the everyone loved the place and all the staff that made our trip truly memorable. Thanks again to all!

1000% recommend this spot. Jaime was there to greet us the moment we arrived. We landed early and were able to drop our luggage so we could go out to lunch without all our stuff. Jaime and the home's staff were all warm and welcoming. The home is even more lovely in person than in the photos. The home's decor threads the needle between old Cartagena charm and newer modern moments. The breakfasts and the one dinner we had at the home were all delightful and seemingly made with love. The whole place is an oasis behind those street facing doors. Our group felt cared for and welcomed at every turn. Should we come back to Cartagena (this was our 3rd visit), I will book this home again and not even bother looking at other places, recommend you do the same.

We were blown away first by the amazing layout and quality of the villa. The food top, pool and Ac/fan rooms were better than any hotel. Then Patrón our guardian of the villa was a god of hospitality. An incredible host that catered to all our needs and helped with every little detail. Thank you for an incredible experience. Each guest was blown away. Can warmly recomendación for family/friends! Book Book Book!

the home was extremely beautiful. for a group of 11 the place was just what we needed. we each had our own space and no one was cluttered. the staff was amazing and helped with groceries cooking and laundry. the pool was cleaned daily along with the rooms. the host joaquim was extremely helpful and accommodated all of our special needs. I highly suggest this place for larger groups and would definitely return myself if I get the chance

We had a fantastic stay at Joaquim’s place. The location couldn’t be better—everything from restaurants and cafes to historical sites and local shops is just a short walk away. It’s a perfect spot for exploring the walled city on foot. The house was spacious, rooms have A/C and their own restroom. What truly made our experience special was the incredible hospitality of Jaime and his team. They were incredibly attentive, always available with helpful recommendations, and made us feel right at home. The highlight was definitely their home-cooked meals—every dish was delicious, but the breakfasts were absolutely outstanding. Highly recommend staying here if you want a warm, local experience in the heart of Cartagena!

I cannot recommend this Airbnb enough! I stayed here with 7 of my closest girlfriends to celebrate my 30th birthday, and everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Our host, Joaquim, went above and beyond — he was incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and made sure everything was set up for a memorable stay. When we arrived, the entire Airbnb was beautifully decorated for my birthday, and there was champagne waiting for us. Jaime and his team, who were on-site throughout our stay, were phenomenal. They were so kind and helpful — walking us to nearby spots to ensure we were safe, preparing delicious meals for us, and making sure we had everything we needed at all times. Thanks to Joaquim, Jaime, and the whole team, my 30th birthday was absolutely unforgettable.

We absolutely loved our stay at this gorgeous rental! The beautiful courtyard with perfect lighting created such a relaxing atmosphere. The pool was fantastic for cooling off, and the fans and air conditioning kept everything comfortable. The food was delicious and made the experience even better. The staff were welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. We’re already looking forward to returning one day!
