The Space
Enjoy relaxed luxury in one of our three standalone bungalows located in the heart of Uvita. Each bungalow features a king bed, fiber optic internet, air conditioning, and an indoor/outdoor shower. The well-equipped kitchen adds to the comfort of your stay.
From your private patio or while swimming in your private saltwater plunge pool with sundeck and loungers, you can observe macaws, hummingbirds, and dragonflies.
We are just a five-minute walk from the famous Whale’s Tail and conveniently close to excellent dining, surfing, yoga, and adventure opportunities offered by the Southern Zone of Costa Rica (SoZo).

Our lushly landscaped grounds surround you with the earth element, while the décor of our modern bungalows is inspired by the elements of air, fire, and water.

To support sustainability, we provide filtered water pitchers, stainless steel water bottles, and stainless steel straws for guest use.
For off-site excursions, guests can use complimentary bicycles with locks, a realtor-style lockbox for car keys, sand-resistant beach mats, beach towels, a beach umbrella, and a six-pack cooler.
Our two-story open-air rancho offers communal space for guests and visitors. The first floor includes tables, chairs, and a restroom. The second floor provides an area for yoga, nature viewing, classes, and other activities. A gas grill is also available for guest use.
If you seek wellness, we can arrange sessions with local healers, body workers, and yoga instructors. Some services are available in-room or at the rancho, while others are a short drive away.
Other Things to Note
- Each bungalow has one king bed and accommodates a maximum of two guests.
- This property is adults only, with a minimum age of 17. No exceptions.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Towels and toiletries are refreshed every fourth day for stays of seven days or longer.
- Bed linens are replaced on the seventh day for stays of ten days or more.
- Additional cleaning services can be arranged upon request for a fee of $56.50 USD (including 13% VAT) with at least 24 hours' notice.
- The property is suitable for small events such as destination weddings, club off-sites, classes, executive retreats, or friends' weekends.

Guest Access
Guests have exclusive access to one of the three standalone bungalows, including its attached garden area, outdoor patio, and private saltwater plunge pool.
All guests are welcome to use the two-story rancho, which serves as a shared communal space.

Mark and Karen were the best hosts!! So welcoming and offered a host of tips on travel to the property as well as things to do while there. The space was perfect—a private little oasis within walking distance to everything Uvita. I only wish we had longer to stay! Highly recommend!!

Can’t say enough good things about this space, in addition to the hosts, Mark and Karen. I’ve stayed in quite a few Airbnbs over the years, this one is the best, all things considered. Proximity to local attractions, your own private pool, awesome hosts with great recommendations…If you are thinking about booking a place in Uvita, you found it!

This is the best airbnb we have ever stayed in. Very kind and fun hosts, felt like family. Minutes walk to restaurants and to the beach. Pool was great to hop into after a hot day at the beach. Air conditioner worked fantastic. Place was great for the two of us. Don't wait, book this place!

We had the absolute best stay here! Mark and Karen kept in communication and gave us tons of great information before and during our stay. We learned so much about the area from them! The place was so clean and quiet. We were able to fully relax. One of the best parts was the private pool. So nice! We are already planning for our next stay here!

We would highly recommend staying at the Mana Bungalows. We absolutely loved staying here. Mark and Karen were incredible hosts. Thanks to Karen and Mark, hosts who are absolutely passionate about hosting. They took the time to share with us all the necessary information about restaurants and things to do around Uvita. On-site, you can borrow bikes to get around Uvita. And what can I say about the apartment? Everything is clean and tastefully decorated, and there's a wonderful private pool that we really appreciated. We'll be back.

Our stay was glorious! This is a beautiful rental, with the most lovely and helpful hosts, and everything you could possible think for need for your stay. We are a couple late 30s/early 40s. We stayed for 4 nights. We explored town on bikes that were provided and further afield with our rental car, we had a fantastic morning exploring the whale tail at low tide with some tips from Mark, and we enjoyed being so close to the beach access area. All of the recommendations that Mark and Karen provided were exceptional. The property is gorgeous, impeccably clean, and well set up for relaxation. We picked up eggs at the grocery and sourdough at the local bakery and made a full breakfast every morning in our place. Mark and Karen provided an insane number of snacks (thank you!) and there’s a little market directly across the street. So may things were provided: Beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, towels, rain umbrellas, water bottles, etc. it was perfect! We will be back - and highly recommend.
