Most of our guest are medical or dental tourists. If you are traveling to San Jose and want to stay in the heart of San Jose, this house is for you. Close to CIMA, hospitals, dentists, doctors plus shopping, grocery stores, bakeries, restaurants and attractions. Enjoy mountain and sunset views. The house is intended for a minimum of 2 guests and guest fee ($12) must be added for each remaining up to 6. There are 2 adult bedrooms for a total of 4 adults and 1 kid's bedroom that fit 2 children. The space This is a 3 bedroom Terracotta style home with upgrades and an additional office and terrace over looking the mountains of Heredia. It comes equipped with hot water, wireless internet, streaming video services, ceiling fans, washer dryer, 1 queen, 1 full and 1 bunk bed. The backyard has been updated to a Butterfly Garden with forage plants for both caterpillars and adults, flat rocks for sun bathing, and mineral sand bath to attract local species. Guest access Guests will have access to entire house with one exceptional storage area. There is access to one garage parking spot and one external parking spot. There is also a 4x4 for rent under separate contract. We recommend UBER, driving or walking to get around. Other things to note Extra Services Offered: Coffee and Oranges - $0 as available Breakfast and Coffee full service - $40 Nurse Visits - $99 per hour Car Rental - Requires valid drivers license and valid passport visa stamp. Car rental is a separate agreement and a basic rental contract is required. Car is a 2000 Toyota 4 Runner 4x4 with 5 passengers and a roof rack for hauling luggage and/or surf boards. We frequently host medical and dental tourists, as we are within driving distance of some the best dentists and doctors in Costa Rica. You can even talk a 20 minute walk to the famous Hospital CIMA where just about every modern treatment is available. We are also able to guide you on our journey and give pointers on pharmacies and providers. We have saved people tens of thousands of dollars in treatments from dental implants, cancer surgery to stem cell therapy.

We had a great stay in Evan's home. He was very responsive when I messaged him. Juan, the property manager, is absolutely lovely and extremely helpful. Not only did he help with anything we needed but also showed us local areas that we may have missed otherwise. The house is much bigger than the photos show and in a great location. The hot water and pressure in the showers is the best that we've experienced!

Evan’s house is a basic, budget place to stay. There aren’t all that many Airbnbs in Escazú that accept pets, so we were lucky to find this one. Things to note: 1. There’s a separate room for an office, with a decent chair, a big desk, and a monitor. HOWEVER, on sunny days it gets horribly hot in there. Literally 90F/32C, which is not okay if you want to work. 2. The house is within walking distance of many places. 3. If you don’t mind the noise from the open window, there’s a nice cross breeze that helps cool down the whole place at night. However, it’s very noisy: big trucks, buses, loud motorcycles, sirens, a school, a loud business, etc. 4. It’s easy and fast to catch an uber, and they’re really cheap. 5. Internet was fast upstairs (but intermittent downstairs). 6. Water goes out frequently. 7. No butterfly garden. 8. House manual needs updated. 9. Evan is generally very responsive. 10. The oven is very confusing, with #s 1-5 instead of degrees or standard gas marks.

The house was exactly what we expected, and the price was reasonable. It's a good neighborhood and the locals are friendly. There's a grocery, pharmacy, and a bakery a block away, and other services in walking distance. It took a while to figure out how to work the faucets, and the refrigerator's ice maker was broken. The Internet connectivity is good. The house isn't air-conditioned but that wasn't much of a problem; there are fans & a nice breeze. There is no dishwasher, but there are two sinks. We washed the dishes just fine. The big screen TV works. The kitchen has an ok supply of cookware and appliances. When problems cropped up, Evan was easy to reach. My wife and I spent about five weeks there while we went apartment-hunting, and were comfortable the entire time. This is a house in Costa Rica, meaning there will be occasional creepy-crawlies and small lizards. Bottom line- we definitely would rent here again.

Don’t expect anything too fancy, but it definitely got the job done for my cousins and I. Excellent value in my opinion. I work from my computer, so the room with the desk was a huge perk. Wifi was great. The kitchen was good for cooking meals at home, although we could never figure the oven out. Great location. 5 stars.

The house is very conveniently located in Escazu, very spacious and safe, and I was able to bring my service dog with me. Evan went above and beyond to be flexible with our reservation, communication was timely and always friendly. Thank you so much for being an incredible host, I truly appreciate your sense of hospitality!

Evan was so helpful and communicative throughout the booking process and our stay in Escazu. His home was much bigger in person and the dedicated workspace was awesome. From the balcony and the outdoor space you can see all kinds of birds, butterflies, and lizards. The home is within walking distance of a great bakery, several grocery stores, and loads of restaurants. There’s also a fenced in park nearby that is a nice outdoor space for pets. I would recommend this home for long term stays.
