At high tide, the sea surrounds the house, allowing you to jump into the water directly from the terrace windows or try fishing. Additional Information
Panama has two seasons:
- Rainy season: April through December
- Dry season: December through March
From November, during the national holidays, through the end of the dry season in April, tourism on the island increases. Ferry tickets may be difficult to obtain at the last minute on weekends, so purchasing them in advance is recommended.
From July through October, humpback whales migrate to warmer waters to mate and are often visible along the coast of Taboga. September is the peak whale-watching season.
Water and Supplies
Tap water is not potable. However, several filtration systems make the water safe to drink from the kitchen sink only.
You may bring drinking water from Panama or purchase it on the island:
- Water: $12 per 5-gallon container
- Ice: $8 per bag
Because of the cost, bringing water and ice from Panama is more convenient.
The water supply may occasionally be interrupted if a pump fails or another issue occurs. The apartment has more than 1,000 gallons of water storage capacity as a backup. Please use water responsibly, as the property is not liable if the tanks run empty. When used carefully, the stored water can last for several days.
Island Amenities
There is no supermarket on the island. A few small stores sell basic necessities, but prices are higher than in Panama because of transportation costs.
Taboga Island has only one ATM, operated by Banco Nacional. Bringing cash is recommended in case the ATM is out of service.

A terrific and unique stay, located on hands down the best part of the beach on Taboga! We travelled as a group with two children and an infant and the accomodation was more than adequate! High tide was the best part as you can literally jump out of the living room and snorkel. We were lucky enough to see 3 stingrays with one easily over 6+ feet wide! A terrific stay with a responsive host and a very helpful property manager! Easily one of the best stays on Taboga!

The apartment is located in, in my opinion, the best area of Taboga. Honda beach is practically private, close to the pier and the village. The host is very friendly and was helping us with different issues; she always answered chats quickly. We were a large group of several families and we were comfortable. The apartment has everything: a well-equipped kitchen, plenty of towels, board games, kayaks, etc. The only thing to mention was the water issue; being an island, you can have bad luck and have problems. The island pump broke down while we were there and we had no running water for more than a day. The apartment has water tanks, but one of the toilets was flushing water and we think this caused the reserve to run out. Corinne made sure we had water at all times, but of course it's uncomfortable not to have running water. Overall, we were very comfortable and would repeat!! Thanks to the host for their attention.

it is so fun to listen and watch the tide come in. the house gets surrounded by the water which super cool. beach is right in front of you, easy. tons of space inside and lots of open windows to allow a nice breeze to keep the common spaces cool and the air conditioner in our bedroom was really nice. All in all, this was a great spot.
