In the Balgue hut: WiFi in the hut, mosquito nets, no noise, garden/villa clean and well maintained. Warm shower. 24/7 security. Restaurant: solid food, pleasant atmosphere, subdued piano music. Playground with trampoline and bicycles. It is also well suited for children because of the horses and goats. Despite the animals, I have not seen any flies and mosquitoes. I can recommend the Funca in good conscience.

We had a great stay at Finca Montania Sagrada! The view was so breathtaking that we decided to stay in a two separate beds room and not change to the one kind size bed cottage even if in our honeymoon :) The little cottage came with some wild life included (You’re in nature so expect spiders, mosquitoes, ants and lizards, but nothing we couldn’t handle PLUS one thing I loved about the place is that it has mosquitoes nets that are fresh, very clean, I really loved that! Could use them and enjoy the nicer scent - thank you 🙏🏻) and a cat 🐈 that made our stay even more pleasant ( can ask for food for the kitty from the kitchen that prepares the morning breakfast). The morning breakfast is simple but everything is delicious and fresh. The lady serving it is very attentive and makes fresh bread there. We had a great time feeding the horses, admiring the birds, and just chilling on the hammock. There are 2 restaurants, one v close El Imperio- delicious Happy with our choice.

I loved the estate! Hari and Marilena were very friendly, and helped me find a perfect guide to climb Maderas Volcano and take a kayak tour on the river as well. The horse tour with Hari was wonderful! Also, I loved her 4 dogs :) I hope to visit them again soon.

This has to be one of my favourite airbnb's. Stunning peaceful location, amazing views, warmest hosts and the sweetest dogs. We were a little anxious being city dwellers it would be a too remote, but it really isn't. Don't hesitate to book!

We really enjoyed our stay at Montania Sagrada. Such a little piece of paradise. The bungalows are clean and comfortable with lovely hammocks on the porch. Gorgeous and well taken care of gardens make the place a pleasure to stay. Mirka, Hari, Marilena and the staff are kind and helpful. If Ometepe is included in any of our further trips, no doubt we'll go back to Montania Sagrada!! Thank you guys

Hari's horses were fantastic. They were well taken care of and he was able to accommodate a novice and advanced rider. The place was very peaceful and quiet with fast wifi. Our food was great and we loved all the dogs. It was close enough to Merida that we could walk to town for dinner. It was a great highlight of our trip.

We had a wonderful time at the Finca Montania Sagrada. It's a beautiful place with clean and comfortable bungalows, located a bit outside of the village Merida but still close to the beach. The staff has been very friendly and the food was delicious. Highly recommended.

Nice quiet stay in great tropical garden in very remote location. Great pasta and sauces (pesto is awesome). Horse ride in mountain with Hary is worth it.

Little piece of paradise for nature lovers!!! Imagine waking up by the sounds of birds, parrots, horses and dogs, chilling on a hammock right at your door, watching 2 volcanoes, mesmerizing your eyes with the beautiful green landscape, flowers and butterflies, enjoying the wind cuddling with your face ..playing with your hair and reminding you to enjoy each moment, be in the now, breathe & take it easy (-: Ohh..orgasmic ¡

The location and views from this spot are amazing. The room and guest areas were very clean to Nicaraguan standards. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our 2 hour horseback excursion on the island and we were pleased to see horses that appeared well taken care of. While the host were very good at arranging transportation to and from the ferry to their finca, the remoteness of this location makes some form of private transportation, (either a 4x4 or motorcycle) almost necessary. As with any stay in Ometepe I would recommend at least a couple of days to make the journey worthwhile. Prior to our visit we read conflicting reviews regarding the included breakfast and now we understand why. Our first breakfast was very good and filling and unfortunately set high expectations for the following morning. While the quality was the same, the portions the next morning were lacking. While the previous morning had included fruit, yogurt bread and eggs, the second day the eggs had been replaced with a few small slices of a plantain. In summary I guess plan accordingly. It's a beautiful, but remote location and I would have some form of transportation, some snacks, extra water and plenty of time.
