The Space

Villas Iguana A-8 is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom condominium located in the heart of the wave-rich Tola region. Situated at the northern end of Playa Colorado, the condo overlooks the ocean from its second-floor balcony. To the north, you will find a river and Los Perros point, while two excellent surf breaks—Panga Drops and Colorado beach break—are just a short walk to the south.

The master bedroom features a king bed, and the guest bedroom has two single beds. Both bedrooms and the living area are equipped with air conditioning. Additional amenities include Apple TV, Wi-Fi, a safe for valuables, and a backup battery system that ensures power during outages.

Cleaning service is provided three days per week and is included with the rental. Laundry service is also available through housekeeping, who have exclusive access to the washer and dryer. An optional meal plan service is offered for added convenience. The property includes access to a shared pool with ocean views.

Location

The condo is part of the Hacienda Iguana development, renowned for its world-class surf breaks. Within walking distance, you can reach four surf spots: Playa Colorado, Panga Drops, Los Perros, and Playa Amarillo (accessible at low tide). The area also features a beautiful, affordable 9-hole golf course that is well maintained and thoughtfully designed.

The best place to purchase groceries is La Colonia in Rivas, located 100 meters south of the turnoff for Tola on the west side of the street. It is also recommended to refuel your vehicle in Rivas, as these are the closest gas stations to the property. We suggest stocking up on groceries for your entire stay or considering our full-service catering meal plan to avoid the hassle of shopping and meal preparation.

The shop also rents scooters, dirt bikes, surfboards, boogie boards, and stand-up paddleboards.

Getting Around

The property is approximately a 2 to 2.5-hour drive from Augusto C. Sandino International Airport in Managua and about 4 hours from Liberia Airport in Costa Rica. Major car rental companies operate at Managua airport, and advance reservations are recommended.

A four-wheel-drive vehicle is generally only necessary if you plan to visit beaches further south in the San Juan del Sur area. For those who prefer not to rent a car, airport transfers and daily sightseeing or surf trips can be arranged.

Motorcycle and scooter rentals are available, and transportation by vehicle or boat to other surf breaks in the region can also be organized. Additionally, Alamo and National have rental offices near Hacienda Iguana for convenient vehicle pickup.
