I was immediately thrilled to find a welcome environment with an outdoor kitchen and very clean bathrooms. The surprise was that a team of folks came in every morning to make us a Tico-style breakfast with local coffee. The other guests were from various places - Canada, Texas, Brooklyn, Thailand, Washington D.C., and several from within Costa Rica. Oh, I almost forgot about the outdoor gym with handmade wooden weights that were not only accurate in weight choices, but a very cool idea. Highly recommend.

Beautiful rooms in an ideal setting. We enjoyed being by the sea which was easy to reach on foot. I would come back at any time.

My friend stayed here a couple months ago and suggested I do the same, I have no regrets! It’s right by the beach, the domes are super cool and it’s amazing to have your little pod with AC to wind down from the beach and other activities! Loved the space and traditional breakfast! Lovely stay!

Had a nice week staying at Felipe’s place! The pipes are pretty small but the commun areas are spacious. Pros : 2 mins walk away from the beach, the beach is calm, not crowded at all. Plenty of sea shells also. Had fun taking a 2hours surf lesson with Felipe, he is a great instructor! It’s easy to go to Tamarindo during the day to visit. Overall I would recommend!

Amazing experience for my first time in Costa Rica. Definitely want to come back asap!! Felipe was an amazing host. Clean. Breakfast was delicious. Seconds from the beach. Love it!!

Felipe was awesome. And the place is really great. Cooks prepare breakfast in the AM. The grounds are extremely well maintained and clean. There was plenty of wildlife right in the common area - which I found super cool. And you're about a 30 sec. walk from the beach, which is isolated from the touristy nonsense of Tamarindo (something I genuinely appreciated). Overall, I think Felipe and the Pipe House set-up is pretty awesome if you're into nicer / relatively higher-end hostel-type spots.

We had a great time. It took a couple nights to get used to the pipes, but they are actually comfortable and really only inside them to sleep anyway. The outdoor area is super well designed and proximity to the beach is amazing. The ladies in the kitchen do an amazing job with breakfast and cleaning. We'll be back!
