Ernesto's place was in a good location and walkable to the beach, restaurants, and grocery stores. We liked the building's rooftop pool, the instructions for check-in/checkout were straightforward, but unfortunately that's really all of the nice things we could say about the place. From Ernesto's description of the space and photos you would think that you were staying in a luxury condo, but the description was unfortunately not at all like the reality of the condo. It is old, needs renovations, overall a little misleading. The couch had a cushion with a huge tear in it, curtain rods were coming off the walls, the paint on the roof top deck around the pool (really the in unit pool is a hot tub that the jets no longer work) was peeling, the kitchen had almost nothing in it so we had to go to the grocery store to buy some basic supplies that are normally provided in an AirBnb, and on the second to last day, the living room AC just started dumping water out of it.

Nice apartment with rooftop pool. The photos are from when it was brand new, so some parts of the building could use maintenance. The location is good for walking with loads of restaurants everywhere in Playa. Front desk is friendly and so is Ernesto. Some items were missing or scare in the apartment. He was responsive but it took 48 hours to get some basic supplies. Kind of him to let us have a late checkout. Overall, a nice apartment but I would not say “luxury” in the description.
