Golf and Barbecue Facilities
The nearby 18-hole Greg Norman golf course at Playa Mujeres is widely considered one of the best courses in Mexico, with ocean views from nearly every hole. Advance booking is required, and additional fees apply.
The golf course and two rooftop barbecue stations in neighboring buildings are available by advance reservation. Barbecue use is managed by La Amada administration and carries a small additional fee. We can connect you with the appropriate contact to reserve a time.
Location and Transportation
La Amada is located within the Playa Mujeres complex, approximately 25 minutes north of Cancún’s hotel zone.
A car or private transfer is the most practical way to reach the property, and assigned underground parking is included. Uber is also available from the airport and typically costs approximately $25–30 USD.
Check-In
Check-in is handled independently through a smart lock. Detailed arrival instructions are sent 48 hours before your stay and include:
- Gate access information
- Parking instructions
- The unit access code
If anything comes up during your stay, we respond within the hour.
Beach Conditions
La Amada’s beach is cleaned daily and monitored for sargassum. Conditions are consistently better here than in the hotel zone. For a real-time update before your trip, ask us and we will check the current conditions.
Quiet Hours
The complex enforces quiet hours beginning at 10:00 p.m. La Amada is a genuine resort residential community with year-round residents, so guests who respect the quiet hours generally enjoy their stay.

Very, very nice apartment in a private and secure residence: the rooms are huge and luxurious, very well equipped, with a large terrace overlooking the pool and the sea (which are a 1-minute walk away). The beach is beautiful and very well maintained (like the entire resort) and without sargassum! The garage is very nice, as is the option to rent kayaks and paddleboards. You can eat at the pool restaurant, otherwise you have to take the car. We stayed there for 2 nights because we were on a road trip, but if you're planning a relaxing stay with swimming and rest, it's ideal!

The apartment is beautiful, as shown in the pictures. It's next to the beach, super easy to get to on foot. The apartment was super clean and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Marlene was always available for any questions we had. I would definitely come back. Thank you very much

We had a wonderful stay here. Condo was fantastic, beds comfortable and very spacious rooms. The resort was quiet with lovely staff and amazing pools which were never crowded. Although we mainly used the big beach pool. The gym was well equipped. The restaurant on site (Basils) was excellent for breakfast, lunch and dinner when we didn't want to either cater or go out.

We were in Marlene's and Holger's apartment in February 2026 and enjoyed the stay very much. The apartment in the Amada Quartier is beautifully located on Playa Mujeres and offers everything you need for a quiet vacation (well-equipped kitchen, large and bright rooms and a large terrace with table and comfortable lounge). In the neighborhood itself, in addition to the swimming pool, there is a restaurant with Italian cuisine and in 5 minutes' walk a small shop in which you can get the most necessary things for everyday life. Marlene is a very kind host and always responded very quickly to all our questions. We would definitely book this great apartment again on a next stay and can highly recommend it. Thank you!

La Amada was a great fit for our family of 5. We would gladly return, though next time we would consider other units within the property as well. The Good • Arguably the best location in the complex — steps from the beach, pools, and restaurant • Spacious layout that comfortably fit our family (kids 4, 6, 8) • Comfortable beds and excellent blackout blinds • Huge balcony • Well-equipped kitchen • Multiple pools (one heated) with varying depths for kids, plenty of beach loungers and day beds always available Before Booking • Unit has minor wear and could use a bit of TLC. We had 4 maintenance visits during our 9-day booking • Communication could be clearer; FAQ covering check-in,pools, parking, garbage, restaurant menus and a property map would help •3rd bedroom only accessed from balcony, not great for small kids IMO • We had a full-day loss of power and water on our final day due to a planned outage, but we were not notified in advance and did not receive a response from the host
