Hosting meaningful retreats, weddings, and celebrations is Villa Tayrona’s specialty. Our experienced five-person staff assists with travel planning and takes care of guests throughout their stay.
With nine individual bungalows and generous shared spaces, groups of up to 24 guests can enjoy time together while still having plenty of privacy.
Villa Tayrona combines modern Mexican design with Bali-inspired tropical luxury. The property is located seven blocks from Bucerías Beach, within walking distance, and 25 minutes from PVR Airport.
The Space

Each bungalow has distinctive features, such as lofts or indoor-outdoor showers. The villa’s architecture and décor are both unique and refined.

Your host, Elly, can assist with travel planning. Private chefs, massages, and other services are available upon request. Villa Tayrona is especially suited to groups celebrating milestone birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions.
Guest Access
Your group will have private access to the entire property, including all nine bungalows and the shared areas.
House Staff and Services
Alex, our houseman, is a professional bartender and experienced concierge who can help arrange additional services, mix drinks, serve food, assist with shopping, and more.
Reyna, Isabel, Gaby, and Fer are also part of our house staff. They provide complimentary housekeeping and maintain the grounds, pool, and shared spaces.
A suggested gratuity of $200 Mexican pesos per guest per night may be divided among the five-person house staff.

Kitchen and Dining
The Ginger Kitchen is a large, professional kitchen available for guests to use or for a private chef to operate in. Six of the bungalows also include beautiful, fully equipped kitchens.
Filtered drinking water is provided throughout your stay.

The rooms do not have televisions, but all include high-speed Wi-Fi.
Important Information
- Bucerías is a walkable town, and Villa Tayrona is centrally located. There is a steep hill between the property and the beach.
- The villa is in a typical residential neighborhood, so guests may hear roosters, dogs, neighbors, and other local sounds. Earplugs are provided for light sleepers.
- Laundry service is not available in-house. Several nearby laundromats offer affordable 24-hour service, including laundry folding.
- Because the roofs are made of thatch, smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the property except in the designated smoking area in the garage. Candles and all other types of fire are also prohibited.
- We maintain meticulous cleaning standards. However, given the tropical climate and the handwoven natural thatch used for the roofs, small harmless insects may occasionally appear. Our cleaning team provides prompt assistance if needed.
- The pool is not fenced and can be dangerous for small children without supervision.
- Villa Tayrona is located in a residential area. To respect our neighbors, please keep noise at a reasonable level after 10 p.m. Notify us in advance if you are planning an event. A privacy-safe noise monitoring system alerts us and our guests if noise limits are exceeded.
- The garage accommodates two average-sized vehicles. Safe street parking is also readily available.

Villa Tayrona in Bucerías exceeded every expectation. The property is stunning, but the people make it truly special. Elly the owner made planning effortless before we arrived, offering great suggestions and helping map out our days, and greeted us personally when we got there. Her recommendations for the beach club and a nearby restaurant were spot on. From arrival, the staff took incredible care of us. The accommodations were some of the best we've experienced, and the massages were amazing. Everyone brought genuine warmth and a positive energy, handling anything that came up with total flexibility and ease. Alex, the bartender and house man, was an absolute standout, always ready with a smile and going above and beyond. Chef Fernando and his team turned every meal into a highlight, incredible food that meant we wanted for nothing. It was hard to leave. If you want beautiful surroundings with genuinely exceptional people, Villa Tayrona is it. We can't wait to return.

My family felt very comfortable. They had their privacy. Every family that went felt very comfortable. The children were very happy because they had all kinds of games for them, whether in the pool or outside. There were board games, and we were so comfortable that we didn't want to go back. If you are thinking about booking this place, just do it! The villa is beautiful, the pool is so fun, and Elly and her team are amazing people who have thought of every detail to make your stay wonderful. We stayed with a big group and they made sure each and every one of us were comfortable. The chef-provided dinners were incredible, Alex was a great host, and the overall experience was one of the most memorable trips I’ve had in a very long time!!

I would highly recommend this wonderful oasis. Elly was extremely helpful and responsive. It is very evident she takes great care to make sure your vacation is well planned with clear communication and responsive planning help. Working out meals and activities ahead of time was wonderful as it made for a very relaxing time while at the villa. The property itself is designed with such care and intention. Beautiful local artwork, thoughtful spaces for both privacy and common hang out spaces. The beds were very comfortable and rooms had great ac. Alejandro was an incredible daily host/bartender & help during our stay. He was friendly, addressed our entire group by name and was helpful arranging rides and activities. The food that Fernando, the chef, prepared exceeded our expectations. The entire staff was so so good. We do an annual extended family trip and this one will go down as one of the favorites for sure!! Thank you Elly, Alejandro, Fernando, Enrique, Gabby, Isabella and all.

I chose Elly's place for my 50th ladies getaway and it was incredible from start to finish. She went above and beyond to make sure that myself and every one of the guests was treated to the most attentive and relaxing experience. The villa itself is absolutely stunning and the grounds are lush and perfectly manicured. We engaged chef services for several meals and they were all absolutely delicious. I really could not give them higher marks for service or the villa itself, everything was so thoughtful... the rooms all feature different local art pieces and the pool was perfect. If you have a chance to stay here, you will not be disappointed, it was completely fabulous.

I’m sure my words will be short of what I want to express, Elli is amazing made our stay xtra special the details she put were a plus we had our wedding at the villa and I have to say it was the best decision I could have made, the villa is amazing Alex bar man / your handy guy went above and beyond to tend to us.
