Amavi is perfect for a retreat, family gathering, or freind get away. You can choose to have privacy in your room, but plenty of nice spaces for whole group to gather. Quiet, safe, and great location! The staff was the cherry on top. Matt was there to answer any questions and to book reservations, tours and massages. Chef Jonathan had great food, prepared on time with a variety of menu choices, and always had a smile on his face. Uranie the cleaning lady was on top of everything and willing to help with anything, and makes the best smoothies! We hosted our first yoga retreat here and it was the perfect space!

I booked Hotel Amavi for my bestfriends bachelorette trip and lets just say the bride was EXTREMELY happy and had the time of her life!! No complaints whatsoever. I haven’t written a review in years, but this one deserves the attention. Hotel Amavi was the PERFECT location for my friends and I (group of 12) on a peaceful and still enjoyable retreat to Costa Rica. Matt was above and beyond our expectations and although we were only there for a short time, we will definitely be returning again soon. If you’re thinking about booking, don’t think— just do. Everything is as pictured or even better. Pura Vida!

Outstanding Stay at Hotel Amavi — Matthew & Team Are Amazing! Our stay in Jacó was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, Matthew and his entire team made us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of. Matthew is an exceptional host—friendly, attentive, responsive, and clearly passionate about creating a great experience for his guests. The entire team carries that same energy. Everyone was incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating, and they went above and beyond to make our stay special. The hotel itself is beautiful, stylish, comfortable, and has such a fun, relaxed atmosphere. The pool and bar area are fantastic, the rooms are thoughtfully designed, and the beach is just a short walk away. The attention to detail throughout the property really makes it stand out. What impressed us most, though, was the hospitality. You can tell Matthew and his team truly care about their guests. They created the kind of experience that makes you feel at home. Thank you !!

We had friends and family all fly out to Costa Rica for our wedding. This was the BEST experience we have ever had out of the country. Matt took such good care of us that he felt like family by the end of our trip. The chef was amazing, the decorations were amazing, the attention to detail and care for us was out of this world! If you ever want to have an event, throw a party, or even just come to a place to relax in Jaco Beach, AMAVI is THE only answer. When we inevitably come back, Amavi will definitely see us again! Amavi was the perfect place for our group to spend close to 1 week in the summer. The property is beautiful and is perfect for large groups to have some privacy while also having a large pool and bar area to share. The location is perfect, steps from the beach, a 2 min golf cart ride to the main strip, but secluded and quiet in case you’re looking to take it easy. Matthew the concierge is world class. He ties in the whole experience with his relentless commitment to service, focus on the guests’ experience, and ability to make it the most memorable and effortless vacation you’ve been on. If you’re looking into Jaco, there is no other option to consider besides Amavi!!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience at Amavi. As the founders of Casa Somé, an intimate private dining experience centered around food, music, and meaningful connection, we chose Amavi as the venue for our official launch and it could not have been more perfect. The space itself brought our vision to life. The beautiful design, warm atmosphere, and thoughtful layout created the exact feeling we wanted our guests to experience: intimate, elegant, and unforgettable. Matthew and the entire Amavi team were exceptional. Their hospitality, responsiveness, and genuine excitement for our project made us feel supported every step of the way. We had my Bachelorette Weekend Here and everyone loved Hotel Amavi! Absolutely stunning place! We all had our own bathroom and the used the rooftop to do yoga . We loved the bar and common area! Pool was clean everyone was friendly! And they helped us plan everything ! Definitely unforgettable stay. Recommend 11/10! And shoutout to Matthew for taking care of my girls and I! We all had a blast!

This was the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. From weeks before our trip until we left Costa Rica, Matt, the concierge, was incredibly communicative, proactive, and helpful. He met us on arrival, gave us a tour, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. At his recommendation, we rented golf carts (a great call), and he helped arrange excursions, a breakfast chef, security, and our detailed grocery list upon arrival. For one excursion, he connected us with a guide he considered the best in the area. We had such a great experience that we got drinks with him afterward and still keep in touch. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with plenty of storage and individual AC units. The pool and bar area became our main gathering spot for meals, drinks, and sports. Our bachelor party included nine men, and every one of us agreed this was the best Airbnb experience we’ve had. This isn’t just a place to stay—it’s the best way to experience Jacó Beach
