The Space
Casa Ceiba is a cozy, three-level home overlooking Lake Atitlan. It accommodates up to four guests and includes:
- Two bedrooms
- Two spacious balconies with panoramic views of the lake and one of its imposing volcanoes
- A private dock
- A private beach for swimming
- A small green area for sunbathing
- An equipped kitchen
- A mobile barbecue for outdoor use
- Access to a shared cabin for enjoying drinks or meals while watching the sunset
This peaceful and comfortable property is ideal for nature lovers and is located just a few minutes from the center of San Marcos la Laguna.
Guest Access
Guests have full access to Casa Ceiba’s indoor and outdoor areas, including exclusive use of the home’s balconies and their outdoor furniture.

Access and Stairs
From the house, access requires descending two flights of stairs followed by a section of approximately 20 steps.
From the beach, access requires climbing two short flights of stairs followed by a section of approximately 25 steps.

Very nice cozy three floor house with great views, a balcony, two bedroom floors, two toilets and one bathroom. Andrea is a very nice and friendly host. Concierge Mario lives upstairs; he is the best.

What a great bnb to stay at. Beautiful view of the lake, close to town. Nice place would definitely recommend staying there. You can also take the boats from your private dock.

Andrea was very responsive! The view was spectacular, and the private dock was perfect to relax. The only downside is how hot it gets in the rooms since there is no AC (which was indicated), she did provide us with fans that helped quite a bit. Also wanted to add that there are many spiders that come in the home even if you leave the windows closed, but there is a bug spray in the home to kill them. Overall great experience and really recommend this place! We felt very safe with the private gates on both sides of the villa.

We had a great stay at Andrea’s! It is in the best location that feels secluded but is also very walkable and close to the center. The views from the bedroom are unbeatable and so incredible. The dock is shared with other guests on the property so not entirely private but still very enjoyable. The water is beautiful and clean for swimming right off the dock which is a huge bonus as that’s not the case for the entire lake. Only part we ever had trouble with was the keys/doors situation as they can be a bit tricky but by no means impossible or a dealbreaker. Andrea was always responsive through chat and Mario was always available for us on-site. Overall a lovely stay!

We stayed in this beautiful 3-story home for 3 nights and loved the relaxing atmosphere, gorgeous view, and private dock. Andrea communicated quickly, and having parking on-site saved us from paying for parking and taking a boat from Panajachel with all our luggage. Mario was always available and helpful throughout our stay. As others mentioned, the front entrance lock can be tricky—ours jammed and broke, resulting in a $10 USD charge, which we promptly paid. Hopefully, this gets fixed for future guests. A few notes: the house is in a quieter area, about a 15-minute walk to the main town and public lancha dock. The balcony was shared, and the neighboring family with children made it occasionally noisy. Bring a flashlight for getting around at night. The kitchen is well-equipped, though you may need basics like cooking oil and seasoning. Be sure to clean up crumbs to avoid ants, and expect a few spiders as others have mentioned.

The house is hard to get to, but so are the majority of homes on the lake. The beds were hard and there were spiders everywhere. The onsite staff lived in the same building as ours and there was no noise control (not their fault). I could tell they were trying to be quiet and respectful and so were we but we could still hear everything on the property. The house sufficed for our few days, but I would stay somewhere else next time.

The host was extremely responsive and helpful. Mario was always there, and was able to help me with anything I needed. I injured myself pretty bad on this trip (I couldn’t walk) and they were able to get me food and medicine no problem. I will definitely be coming back. Also the property is beautiful, and the private doc is totally worth every penny
