Guest Review Highlight
A guest named Don shared in January 2023:
"If you prefer cocktails by a manicured lawn, this isn’t the place. But if you enjoy morning swims in the ocean and picking up fresh seafood directly from the fishermen while walking past wild donkeys on a gravel road back to the house, this is perfect."
This home offers true indoor/outdoor living within a unique natural setting. Its design takes advantage of ambient airflows, eliminating the need for air conditioning year-round. Ceiling fans are available for added comfort.

Big disappointment because misleading photos of a designer architect's house and in fact a poorly maintained house, old-fashioned, dilapidated, rusty, furniture that makes salvage furniture, umbrellas supposedly provided and found at the back of the garbage room under cobwebs , etc.,nothing to do with a designer architect's house! Too bad because the location is nice

This is a unique place in a chill community and we definitely enjoyed our stay. Be advised that the design of this house is to be wide open...so when its hot outside (in July) its hot inside (no A/C) ... and you hear everything which includes donkey brays in the middle of the night and the neighbor starting up his UTV at 5:00am :) If you're looking for a unique experience, this place should be considered.

Great property with ocean and sunset mountain views, close to the beach and restaurant. Very nice outdoor living space, well equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds. The showers have plenty of hot water and pressure which we have had issues with at other off grid properties. We loved how the sliding glass doors stacked to each other opening up the entire kitchen and sitting area to the outside.

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, unique home and our kids spent a countless hours in and around the pool. The kitchen/dining room, bedrooms & upper bathrooms are all connected via covered, sheltered walkways and stairs. The glass-enclosed kitchen/dining room can be fully opened up on all sides. We never felt we needed A/C and enjoyed dining and lounging with a nice breeze. The architecture is beautiful and very photogenic, but the place is not fancy — actually a little on the rustic side. We enjoyed the simplicity and would love to stay again.

Casa Leluya is a great destination for fellow eco-conscious travelers visiting the Cabo area. Highlights were the views of the sunset over the mountains, the nearby beach swimming, and dining al fresco on one of the many lovely patio options. We also really appreciated the well-stocked kitchen. Great place to unwind at the end of our trip after exploring Baja. The main living spaces are comfortable thanks to the breezeway design, though the bedrooms do get quite hot in the hotter months despite the fans provided – just something to be prepared for. The hosts provided more detailed information regarding house protocols outside of airbnb before check-in that isn't included on the listing itself.

Our stay at Casa Leyula felt like home away from home. It’s architecturally interesting and the desert surroundings are lovely. The development is guarded with a roped gate operated by security people. The lot was easy to find with the directions provided. Casa Leyula boasted pretty landscaping and we listened to birds sing every morning. While it a possible to see the sky illuminated by the sunrise every morning from your bed, it was so beautiful that it got me up and out onto the master bedroom patio every morning to catch the full vista overlooking Zacatitos. It was a little further from the beach than we had thought, but still very accessible by foot or car. Beach is stunning and hardly any people on it - waves and whales were endless! Breakfast down the street Mondays and thursdays (~10am) was authentic, fresh and delicious. Zacs bar was exactly what you would expect. Colleen (chef) dropped off a few meals for us that were fresh and delicious. All around it was a lovely stay!

Photos don’t do this place justice. It’s a stunning modern property in beautiful surroundings. Well equipped kitchen and bbq. Nearby beaches are incredible. Great place if you want to be away from the resorts with mod cons and lovely natural environment. One tip: make sure you have an off-road vehicle!

Incredible place. The inside outside fee of the house made staying in the desert cozy but like you were really experiencing the surroundings. If we ever go back to Zacatitos we’d want to stay here, felt like home.

Hoop + Barrels The hosts jumped thru all of them to ensure we had a great stay. Be it in the early planning stages, almost 3 years ago, or onsite the day of arrival. The quality of the home goes without saying, spotless and an architectural gem. We’ve been visiting Zacatitos for almost 20 years. If you like your cocktail served to you as you gaze across a manicured lawn, don’t come here. If you like swimming in the ocean first thing in the morning, then picking up some fresh seafood from an actual person who caught it as you walk back on a gravel road to the house past donkeys… Doesn’t get any better! Thanks!
