Upon arrival, the final touches were being made to the cleaning. It is such a fantastic house in a perfect location. Walking distance to various restaurants and supermarkets, etc. A huge amount of wildlife around the house. (You can see even more from your balcony than in the Manuel Antonio national park) A large swimming pool. 4 beautiful rooms, all with a good private bathroom and good air conditioning. The house is well maintained and clean. The only downside is that there are no basic items available such as salt, sugar, coffee, tea, oil, etc. All the other places we booked in Costa Rica during our tour all had this. Otherwise, really a great house in a very nice location!

We loved our stay in Manuel Antonio. The home was very clean and spacious. We saw monkeys, parrots, and toucans from the back porch. My children loved the pool!!

Villa Reel was a perfect place for our party of 6. Mandel was a good host who responded to my messages in a timely manner. I would recommend staying here. The location was great, easy to find using Mandel’s instructions and close by to good restaurants and the beach. Everything is on a mountain so it is not too walkable because some areas do not have sidewalks. The villa was clean, well kept and the pool was nice and warm. The waterfall was not turned on and we could not figure out how to turn it on. We saw a lot of wildlife including monkeys! Some of the photos are not updated. There are no pool loungers and the hammocks on the 2 balconies are very small, only fit 1 person. There is no hammock at all on the third balcony. The wifi in the bedrooms was not very good but it was fine in the main house. The washing machine is difficult to figure out as an American and my clothes came out still dirty.

The property has a pool and is surrounded by two buildings with a walkway. The first living room and dining room room is very large and has a master bedroom attached. The other building has three separate rooms on three separate floors and it was perfect for some privacy between all the different parties in my group of 10. The view was beautiful! I would very much recommend this for a group looking for a spacious rental with a nice pool for family time.

Overall a very beautiful villa! The rooms and locations had amazing views. The bathrooms were just a little dirty.

Great location being close to a food hall and convenience stores. Good space for my family of 5 although needed to navigate a fair amount of stairs to get to rooms. Loved being able to see the monkeys drop by on the balcony.

The house was very spacious and the pool worked great for our family! The layout is a bit odd, with only 1 room in the main house and 3 in a separate building, but we made it work for us. Our biggest issue was communication. 1 room had no working AC for every night and 2 AC units dripped all over the floor, so much that my son slipped and fell from it. Replies from the host were rare after the first night. We had a 72 year old grandma sleeping in a blazing hot room, a 12 year old waking up soaking wet from the AC dripping, and an 8 year old slipping for another unit leaking. These should be easy fixes if he just replied to our messages. We also found it unfortunate that the home did not provide the basics, like soap, shampoo, salt/pepper/oil, paper towels.... small things that make a big difference and should be noted ahead of time. All in all, the home is really nice and all issues we had could be rectified, so hopefully others won't see these issues!

Villa Reel In was an absolute gem of a place to stay. It was in the quieter side of Quepos/ Manuel Antonio, at the top of a hill with a view of the ocean, and walkable to lots of restaurants, shops, and markets to buy food. It had a parking space inside the gated home, but there was also room for our second car to park on the street, and it felt really safe. The beach (Playa Manuel Antonio - the park's public beach) was close by and fun, and the park was excellent (get tickets ahead and to walk trails, you must book with a guide). Pool was amazing, beds were super comfortable, space welcoming and great for hanging out with our group of 7. A great place to relax overall, which is great after so much adventure. Kitchen well stocked with utensils, but you'll have to get your own oil, salt/pepper, coffee filters. We booked a fishing tour and sunset tour through Mandel's companies also, and SO WORTH IT. Easy to book, transport to the marina, a highlight of the trip. Mandel is a great host!
