The place was nice, clean and had everything you needed. However, the host used the cameras to monitor how many people were arriving and the vehicles, and assumed that additional people would stay on the property, indicating that this would result in an additional charge. The situation made us feel watched and accused, so we decided to leave and not spend the night. We believe that the situation could have been handled in a way that would have made us feel more comfortable.

We enjoyed every second in this house. The best part was the swimming spot on the river. Beautiful!!!!! In addition, the hosts are very accommodating and helpful.

We loved the experience of staying at Lorena's house. Even though it was raining, we went on the excursion to the pool next to the house. The setting is beautiful and the upstairs room is super luxurious.

I have booked houses in various parts of Costa Rica and the world, and this place is in my top 3 places. I can't wait to go back! The place is very nice, has everything you need, and the access to the river is amazing. Quite an experience. I congratulate you for having such a beautiful place and sharing it. My family enjoyed our stay here while we were traveling from La Fortuna to Tortuguero. The house was easy to find, although better to drive in the daylight as there are some potholes as you get close. I had enquired about the washer and dryer as it wasn't listed in the pictures, and Lorena told me it was normally only available to stays of two nights or more (which was listed in the house rules, I just hadn't read those). However for a small fee she allowed us to use them and we greatly appreciated that since we had not had access to laundry services in the previous six days and were needing a laundry refresh before getting to Tortuguero. Also, if you are like me and skim the house details, the upstairs master bedroom is the only one with air conditioning but we stayed in early August and I thought the downstairs rooms were fine with the multiple fans that she provided. The trail down to the river was neat, and while we didn't swim, we enjoyed the hike and the view of the river.
