We stayed here with a large group, and the home is beautiful, well maintained, and exactly as described. The space and amenities felt five-star, and we were having a great stay. Unfortunately, during our stay there was a prolonged power outage with no electricity, running water, toilets, or AC. It lasted overnight, there was no reliable ETA for restoration, and we had to leave early. While the outage may have been outside the host’s control, the lack of clear updates made it difficult to manage, especially with a large group. Future guests may want to ask about contingency plans in case of an outage. That said, I’d still recommend staying here. The on-site staff were incredible, the breakfast service is worth it, and the dinner we arranged at the house was delicious. FYI, the property is listed both directly by the host and through a third-party management company, the 3rd party added some complexity when issues came up so we would probably book directly through the host next time.

The Airbnb is a beautiful place in an excellent location. I wanted to provide some feedback about the air conditioning. Upon arrival, we found that the air conditioning in all the rooms was off, making it extremely hot. We managed to turn the air on and close the bedroom doors, which helped cool things down eventually. However, when we left for sightseeing and returned, we discovered that all the air conditioning units had been turned off again. This resulted in the rooms being hot once more, and my guests were quite frustrated as we had to wait for the rooms to cool off a second time. The dining room is a beautiful space; however, we were surprised to learn that there was a charge for running the air conditioner in that room. It would have been more convenient for us to have this included in the overall cost of the Airbnb. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and appreciated the beauty of the property, but I wanted to share this feedback so that these issues can be addressed for future gu

Fantastic house for a large group, ideally located in the old town of Cartagena. The bathrooms are a little bit dated, but the flip side is a stunning house with lots of charm and character. Staff was nice and helpful.

Roger and the whole Casa Ámbar team was excellent! The host got in touch well in advance of our visit and help us coordinate breakfast at the house as well as massages. The security at the door was incredibly helpful with any on site needs we had. There were 16 of us and there was plenty of room spread about the house so each person had their own zone / place to chill. Would come again!

I have never stayed at a more beautiful location with a more responsive host or such amenities. I booked this for my best friend's bachelorette party and it was beyond anything I could have imagined or expected. We were 15 in total, but the house could have comfortably fit so many more. We ended up with folks who had their own rooms to themselves and one room to spare with plenty of beds. The host connected us with a company to help us do a welcome dinner for the group, they also helped us get taxis and provided local recommendations when requested. I started communicating with the host around 4 months before our trip and they always responded immediately and guided me in the right direction. The breakfasts provided were amazing and they made it very easy to pay for the add on ahead of time and to request typical Colombian meals so we could get a typical experience. The house always had security so we felt safe. The pool was amazing. I have nothing to complain about, just amazing.

Came in for a bachelor party for my brother and 10 of his friends. The house was perfect for us and everything we had booked e.g. clubs, restaurants, bars, were all walking distance. There was even a liquor store and grocery store a minute away. The house had a guard at all times and we never found ourselves waiting outside for more than a minute at night. Owners were also very responsive when I inquired on having some cut fruit after a boat party we went to and had it prepped and ready for us. Would recommend heavily!!

Great location. Aesthetically pleasing. Great staff. Delicious breakfast. Nice pool. We just did not like having the water cut off at night. We also did not like how the air was turned off when we left, leaving us to come back to blistering hot rooms. All and all 9/10.

Loved it. Went for my bachelor party, had ample space, loved the speaker it had by the pool. The staff is super friendly, overall a great experience.
