Located just 25 miles from San José International Airport, this custom-built, four-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom home is situated off the grid in Antigua del Valle, a private, gated boutique community in the mountains of Atenas. The property offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

The home features glass-wall doors and windows throughout the living areas, along with large picture windows, sliding glass doors, and fans that make the most of Atenas’ year-round springlike climate and spectacular views. These features create a comfortable indoor-outdoor living experience, complemented by carefully selected and coordinated designer details.

The furnishings combine luxury and comfort. Inside, there are two separate seating areas:

• A sofa, three side chairs, and a satellite television viewing area.
• Two leather captain’s chairs in a three-sided glass room that opens to the outdoors, ideal for afternoon cocktails or quiet reading.

Outside, four separate private seating areas provide peaceful places to enjoy the natural surroundings. Outdoor furnishings include rocking chairs and a relaxing hammock.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

Each master bedroom includes:

• A luxurious king-size bed.
• A therapeutic pillow-top mattress.
• Fine linens.
• A spa-quality private bathroom with beautiful natural-stone finishes.
• A large walk-in closet stocked with towels, extra pillows, sheets, blankets, and beach towels.

The third master bedroom, located on the second level, is a fully furnished private suite with:

• A separate kitchen.
• Cooktop and refrigerator.
• Appliances and utensils.
• Air conditioning.
• A private view of the valley and distant ocean.

The home also includes a fourth overflow bedroom with a twin trundle bed that converts into two twin beds, as well as a half bathroom. This space is ideal for children or additional guests.

Two inflatable single-size air mattresses are also available, complete with linens. Bed bumpers for young children and a pack-and-play crib are provided.

Kitchen and Laundry

The main custom kitchen is fully equipped for preparing gourmet meals and entertaining guests.

A full utility room includes:

• One washing machine.
• Two dryers.
• Laundry supplies.

Pool Terrace and Outdoor Areas

The pool terrace is equipped for outdoor dining and relaxation. It includes:

• Two dining tables with seating for 12.
• A separate seating area.
• A four-burner gas grill.
• A smoker.

• A solar-heated pool.
• A hot tub.
• A sun deck.
• A hammock.
• Pool recliners.
• Views of the surrounding mountains.

Wildlife and Aviary

Guests have identified 72 different bird species in the backyard. Large trees on the hillside provide food and nesting areas for the diverse bird population.

Binoculars and wildlife guides are available for guests to enjoy.

Home Office and Internet

The home office provides a comfortable workspace with:

• Resort-wide Starlink satellite extended wireless internet.
• A custom-built desk.
• Views of the surrounding outdoors.

Security

Cielo provides on-property security with exterior perimeter cameras around the property and a private security safe for personal belongings.

Security cameras are located in the following areas:

• Two cameras in the carport.
• One camera in the pool area.

Interior security includes motion detectors. The camera in the great room, which includes the living room and kitchen, remains off 24/7 whenever guests are staying at the property. Guests control the private security system, which is encouraged for use while they are away exploring.

Guest Access

Guests have access to the entire home and everything included on the property.

A minimum stay of four days is required.

At an additional cost and with advance reservation, Cielo offers:

• Chef-prepared catered meals and snacks for one or all meals.
• Home delivery.
• Private massage therapy specialists.
• Translation services for local requests.

It is best to check availability for chef and massage therapy services when making your reservation.

If your checkout day coincides with another guest’s check-in day, the housekeeper will arrive at 8:00 a.m. to begin preparing the home. Additional cleaning services during your stay are available upon request for an additional fee.

A rental vehicle is recommended for fully enjoying Cielo, although public transportation is available.
