The Space
This 2-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom condo with a relaxed beach vibe offers an ideal retreat and a convenient base for exploring the natural beauty of Costa Rica. Located just a 5-minute walk from the beach and world-class surfing spots, it is also close to diverse dining options, shopping, and nightlife, while maintaining a peaceful, home-like atmosphere.
The unit comfortably accommodates four adults or two adults and three children. Bright, clean, and colorful, this getaway invites you to unwind and enjoy a barefoot lifestyle.
Unit 11, known as Barefoot and Happy, is situated toward the rear of the complex, providing a serene environment to relax indoors, on the ground-floor patio, by the pool, or on the second-floor balcony.
The air-conditioned living area and a fully renovated, well-equipped kitchen are on the first floor, which also includes a half bathroom and laundry facilities. Upstairs, two air-conditioned bedrooms each feature private bathrooms.
The master suite contains a queen-size bed, a stow-away twin trundle bed, a full bathtub and shower, a large closet, and a balcony overlooking the pool and gardens. The second bedroom has a double bed with a twin bunk above, a shower, and a spacious closet.
There are ample places to hang towels, swimsuits, handbags, and clothing. For added convenience, a washer and dryer are available to keep your belongings clean and dry.
The kitchen table doubles as a desk, and a strong Wi-Fi signal supports guests who need to stay connected or prefer a working vacation.
For accessibility, the staircase includes a handrail, and the master bathroom is equipped with grips in the tub and shower.
Guest Access
Guests have full access to all areas and amenities of the condo, except for the owner's closets.
Other Things to Note
The owners, Grant Gurnee and Jon Dauzvardis, are from Colorado, United States. They are dedicated to conserving and restoring rivers, wetlands, and coastal environments and prioritize sustainable living to protect the natural resources where they live, work, and play.
They chose Costa Rica as their second home because of its rich culture, diverse habitats, abundant wildlife, and progressive environmental policies.
To enhance your ecotourism experience and promote conservation, guests are encouraged to be environmentally responsible. Some of the sustainable practices supported include:
- Providing fabric bags in the pantry to reduce single-use plastics when shopping or going to the beach
- Encouraging recycling whenever possible and suggesting improvements for recycling efforts within the home, complex, and community
- Offering collapsible patio lounge chairs and a table made from wooden pallets for outdoor relaxation
- Including hotel sales tax in the nightly rental rate, which supports national and local sustainability initiatives such as park land acquisition and wildlife conservation programs
