The Space
This 2-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom condo with a relaxed beach vibe offers an ideal retreat and a convenient base for exploring the natural beauty of Costa Rica. Located just a 5-minute walk from the beach and world-class surfing spots, it is also close to diverse dining options, shopping, and nightlife, while maintaining a peaceful, home-like atmosphere.
The unit comfortably accommodates four adults or two adults and three children. Bright, clean, and colorful, this getaway invites you to unwind and enjoy a barefoot lifestyle.
Unit 11, known as Barefoot and Happy, is situated toward the rear of the complex, providing a serene environment to relax indoors, on the ground-floor patio, by the pool, or on the second-floor balcony.
The air-conditioned living area and a fully renovated, well-equipped kitchen are on the first floor, which also includes a half bathroom and laundry facilities. Upstairs, two air-conditioned bedrooms each feature private bathrooms.
The master suite contains a queen-size bed, a stow-away twin trundle bed, a full bathtub and shower, a large closet, and a balcony overlooking the pool and gardens. The second bedroom has a double bed with a twin bunk above, a shower, and a spacious closet.
There are ample places to hang towels, swimsuits, handbags, and clothing. For added convenience, a washer and dryer are available to keep your belongings clean and dry.
The kitchen table doubles as a desk, and a strong Wi-Fi signal supports guests who need to stay connected or prefer a working vacation.
For accessibility, the staircase includes a handrail, and the master bathroom is equipped with grips in the tub and shower.

Guests have full access to all areas and amenities of the condo, except for the owner's closets.

The owners, Grant Gurnee and Jon Dauzvardis, are from Colorado, United States. They are dedicated to conserving and restoring rivers, wetlands, and coastal environments and prioritize sustainable living to protect the natural resources where they live, work, and play.
They chose Costa Rica as their second home because of its rich culture, diverse habitats, abundant wildlife, and progressive environmental policies.

William's place was a few blocks to the part of the beach that was less crowded and had more shade. We really enjoyed that. It is very walkable to restaurants and grocery stores. We stayed for a long time without a car. We enjoyed that the condo had two pools to chose from. The cleaners do a really great job as well.

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Verde II. It is the perfect location, such a short walk to the beach, restaurants and shops, yet set back enough to be incredibly peaceful and quiet on the property. The space is well designed and cozy, we felt right at home. At the end of our stay we were sad to leave, which is the sign of a great place.

The condo itself was fine lots of space and well equipped. Unfortunately there was ongoing maintenance on the property including the pool , buildings and renovations. This created a lot of mess outside and noise continually from cutting tiles and other work.

our stay at William's was very enjoyable. The location was great, short walk to beach and stores. We appreciated the AC throughout the condo, not just in the bedrooms. We made use of the outdoor covered table in the condo grounds, was a nice spot to be if you wanted to be outside, before or after a swim. William replied promptly to any and all enquiries, was much appreciated!

Enjoyed our stay at William's. The condo is a 5-minute walk from Tamarindo beach and 15 minutes from Langosta beach. Several grocery stores, shops, restaurants and bars are also within walking distance. Our hosts answered our questions quickly and even helped us find a shuttle to the airport for our departure. I recommend it 100%. Thank you for everything. Pura Vida!

Barefoot and Happy was a lovely space to spend our two weeks in Tamarindo! 5 minutes to the beach and close to everything we needed in town from restaurants, stores and groceries but far enough away to be a quiet haven from the hussle and bussle of a busy seaside town! Our water pump broke while one day and it was fixed within hours!! Couldn’t have asked for better! We would highly recommend! Thank you for sharing your lovely space!
