Important Information
Power Outages
San Pedro and the surrounding lake area experience occasional power outages, which are a normal part of daily life here. Although outages are usually resolved quickly, they may occur from time to time.
To make these interruptions more comfortable, we provide candles and a list of nearby cafés and other locations with generators where you can charge devices or work if needed.
Hot Water
Like many homes around the lake, the shower is heated by an electric showerhead. During a power outage, hot water will be temporarily unavailable until electricity is restored.
Noise
Life in Guatemala is vibrant and expressive. You may hear dogs barking, roosters crowing, music playing, or celebrations taking place—sometimes all on the same day.
San Pedro La Laguna is a growing community, and construction is a normal part of life here. New homes, businesses, roads, and other improvements are continually being built, so occasional construction noise may occur during your stay.

Nature
Although our team thoroughly cleans the home before every stay, houses here are naturally more open and rustic than you may be accustomed to.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Such a great location- walkable and close to things but tucked away from the chaotic main area. The balcony is amazing too! Such great views and plenty of space.

An amazing home! We especially loved the balcony and the view is unreal. So spacious and very comfortable and clean. Hosts are also very responsive and helpful to any of your needs.

Great place to stay if you have a large group and don’t need anything too fancy. Everything was like the photos and the host was great. Although, there was a very bad smell downstairs that other guests had mentioned. The host did offer someone to come fix it for us though which was nice but it sounds like the house is always like that and I’m not sure if there is a fix. Also the water pressure is very very bad, the upstairs shower specifically, and a few of us got slightly electrocuted by the shower head when we would touch it. There was also lots of loud construction next to us all day and into late evening but we were usually gone so it was okay, and we did have some ant problems as well in the upstairs bedroom. So again, great place to stay and good location if you’re okay with some things like that.
