The Space
The house is part of a secure gated community, providing both safety and privacy. It is an ideal retreat for families or groups of friends seeking to enjoy Manuel Antonio in a peaceful setting. This home is designed for relaxation after a day of exploring and is not suitable for parties.
The building features an unconventional duplex layout, distinct from traditional upper/lower arrangements. The Soul House is the upper unit, set back further from the Chillout House, which is the lower level. These two homes are completely separate, ensuring privacy for each. Both properties operate as vacation rentals and share community rules, including quiet hours after 10:00 p.m., to maintain a pleasant atmosphere.

Fer and Rosa were so responsive. The Chill Out House was a perfect base to explore and the perfect base to come back to. It was conveniently located to everything you need and only 10 minute drive to the park. We saw scarlet macaws and white faced capuchin monkeys on the property grounds as well as the resident agoutis. It was also a nice bonus to have the pool to relax in. The owners had also gone to so much trouble to inform their guests about the area and CR in general. Lovely place. We would definitely recommend it to others!

Our stay at Chill House was wonderful Great location, the house is large, and the exterior is extremely well laid out We were able to easily enjoy the surroundings (10 min from Manuel Antonio, Espadilla Beach, Quepos, etc.) and also relax at the Chill House, feeling like we were in the heart of nature with the monkeys and toucans The hosts also respond quickly when you have a small problem or a question. The sofa bed is also comfortable (my 17-year-old son slept well) In short, I recommend 100%. Caroline Paradis

Very peaceful and lots of space! The only disappointment is that there is no air conditioning in the living/dining room, but it is very cool in the bedrooms for sleeping! Very clean, and we really enjoyed the location and the small pool :)

Our stay was exceptional! We had a visit from raccoons and a colony of capuchin monkeys that performed acrobatics above the pool. The place is spacious and perfectly equipped. The bedding is extremely comfortable. The unoverlooked outdoor space is very nice in this tourist area. With our 6- and 10-year-old children, we enjoyed the barbecue and the pool. In addition, Fer organizes outings upon request. We recommend the place without a second thought :)

Fer's ChillOut House was a great place to stay while enjoying the beaches and national park. Fer and Rosa were super-responsive, they helped me to book an airport transfer on short notice when my existing transfer got cancelled.

The place is much better than what you see in the photos. In fact, they don't do it justice. It's a place that takes you directly to the countryside. It's very quiet and without disturbing noises, so you can go with the assurance that you'll be able to rest. Points to improve: the WiFi fails a lot. I had already read reviews about this before booking, and I hope you pay attention to it because there are guests who need WiFi to work remotely. Also, check-out is at 10 am, something I hadn't seen before at an Airbnb. It was clearly indicated, and it was my responsibility for not paying close attention, but please let people know so that no one is taken by surprise. They're just minor details. The place has a lot of potential and I hope they keep improving. Rosa and Don Óscar are super friendly and attentive, with tremendous quality service. Good luck.

We loved our family stay (2 adults, 3 children) at this place. It was more spacious than the photos suggested. The place was clean, well-equipped. We loved the decor and the "treasure cave" look. There are sand games, boards for the beach, a ball... it allowed the children to play in the yard. We enjoyed the outdoor shower and the pool when coming back from our visits or from the beach. The hosts welcome us with a guide full of suggestions and tips that only locals know (e.g., for finding parking). Finally, the rental is ideal at the top of the hill in Manuel Antonio and close to amenities and restaurants within walking distance - while still having privacy. We heard howler monkeys, saw capuchin monkeys, lizards... In short, don't hesitate to rent it!
