Important Information
Tropical Wildlife
Costa Rica’s tropical climate is home to a wide variety of insects, lizards, rodents, and reptiles. Although we maintain a strict pest-control plan to help keep these visitors outside the home, occasional encounters with local wildlife are a natural part of the environment and do not constitute a breach of the rental policy.
We appreciate your understanding as you experience the beauty of this vibrant ecosystem.
Pool Maintenance
The maintenance team requires access to the house on pool-maintenance days:
- Tuesdays
- Fridays
Power and Water
Because the property is located in a jungle environment, power outages may occasionally occur due to falling branches or other weather-related issues.
The local water supply comes from nearby springs and may also experience occasional interruptions. We kindly ask guests to keep these possibilities in mind as part of the rural, natural experience of staying in this beautiful area.

The place is very comfortable and has an excellent location for visiting the park. The host's help and recommendations were excellent. The house is very comfortable and just as shown in the photos in the listing. The only downside is the noise from the cars on the nearby road.

We really enjoyed the house and pool and the ease to get to the beach. It is close to the main highway but the privacy of the house and yard is great so the road sounds are no big deal. Great restaurant just a couple of minutes across the street.

The house is very nice and functional, close to a supermarket, which is not bad, about 100 meters away. There are several restaurants nearby, and the entrance to the beach is a 5-minute walk away. If you want to go to the center of Uvita, it's about a 30-minute walk. By car, you have everything less than five minutes away: the rest of the supermarkets, soda shops, restaurants, bakeries, etc. Apart from the more typical tours, what we liked the most were the small waterfalls: Pozas (which is free) and has a rope so you can jump into the pool, and Uvita, which costs 2,000 colones (1,000 for children under 12) and has a very fun natural slide and a jump in the first pool. The beach is jungle-like and very nice, with waves that are not very strong but constant. I think it's ideal for learning to surf. If you want to go scuba diving, you'll have to book at one of the two centers in Uvita well in advance. I was there for five days and it was full... As I said, the house is very nice
