The Space
Matapalo 405 is a luxury condominium featuring two bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. The unit offers stunning ocean views and is designed with Mediterranean architecture. It includes a full custom kitchen, central air conditioning, and high-speed internet for your comfort and convenience.
The master bedroom is furnished with a king-sized bed, two full closets, cable TV, and sliding glass doors leading to a private balcony overlooking both Tamarindo and Playa Grande. There is also a smaller sliding door connecting to the main balcony. The adjacent master bathroom features a large bathtub and a granite vanity.
The second bedroom contains two twin beds, ideal for children, and is illuminated by a large window. Next to this bedroom is the second bathroom, equipped with a tiled shower perfect for rinsing off after a day at the beach.
The living room includes a comfortable couch and chairs, a TV with cable, and access to a balcony with a small seating area where you can enjoy sunsets over the ocean. The couch also converts into a pull-out bed suitable for two guests. Additionally, the balcony has a gas grill for cooking meals ranging from barbecue to grilled pineapple.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a double-door refrigerator, countertop stove, oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, blender, utensils, pots, pans, dishes, and a breakfast bar for two. Meals can be enjoyed at the four-person wooden dining table.
A washer and dryer are available within the unit for your laundry needs.

This was our second time staying at Matapalo. We love the area, the resort grounds, and the proximity to bars, restaurants and the beach. The unit was spotless, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for the week. The welcome gifts were such a nice surprise too. Any questions we had were answered quickly by the host. I would highly recommend this Airbnb! We will definitely be back!

To begin with we were asked for passport before arrival for what the host said "smooth check in". So we shared the copies before we arrived. Upon arrival we are asked for passport copies. Once we get to our unit the floors are dirty. This oily slippery residue. The unit was hot even after hours of running the AC the Master bedroom was not cool like the rest of the unit. They came to address both issues. They claimed the AC is working fine in the master. The cleaning lady came to mop and the floor was better not still not clean. They had a floor fan so we put that by the master door to draw the cool air into the bedroom for our entire stay. After check out we get a note that there was damage to a patio chair due to smoking. Mind you no one smokes in our family which are mainly minors. And some stain on a towel which we washed all towels after use. Absolutely horrible management. We over paid for what we experienced. They only good of the unit is location, pool area and resort access

This condo did not disappoint. The pool and swim up bar were a huge bonus! Location was great and staff was super friendly and helpful. We had a great time!

Beautiful condo with tons of space and in a perfect location. The pool at the condo was incredible and the location was convenient for walking across the street to the beach or to dinner in town. Highly recommend for a stay in Tamarindo.

We enjoyed being in this beautiful condo with a view of the ocean. Every afternoon we relaxed on the balcony patio area for a glass of vino. The location of this condo is the best possible. It’s in the middle of town, yet quiet in our condo. We never used our rental car, but walked to shop or dine. Tamarindo has many different types of restaurants which we tried. It’s nice to have breakfast at home before each day’s fun adventure. We loved the huge sandy beach and the lovely peaceful pool area at the Matapalo. I highly recommend this condo. The hosts were thoughtful in giving us a welcoming bottle of wine. Thank you to Tropical Vacations!

Excellent location! Could easily walk to many restaurants and shops, but was still private and peaceful. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and very easy to access. Would highly recommend this apartment for anyone staying in Tamarindo.
