it was a relaxing place to stay as we moved about the island to see places of interest. The only problem we had was that google maps showed a different entrance and I went down (with 4WD) a hill I should not have gone down. Once starting down I had to keep going but on reflection it was not a good idea. There is a much more decent road into the place and well marked on the main road but we were following the map. Lovely experience and true to their description we say rabbits, chickens, goats, parrots, etc...

Without a doubt, this was the highlight of my trip back to my homeland, Nicaragua. I came for business, but staying here was the cherry on top. Toño Carnaval and his family made me feel like I was part of their home from the moment I arrived. I stayed in my own private cabin just steps from the shores of Lake Cocibolca, where waking up to the peaceful views every morning was unforgettable. The food was delicious, homemade, and very affordable. Breakfast was included each morning, and everything was prepared from scratch by Toño’s talented daughter, who is the chef. I enjoyed freshly caught fish for dinner, the best Coco Loco on the island, and strong organic coffee harvested right here on Ometepe. If you’re looking for an authentic Nicaraguan experience and support a local business with incredible hospitality, amazing food, and a peaceful lakeside setting, this is the place.

Wow such an amazing family, despite travelling alone and staying here alone I felt so welcomed by everyone here. The place is completely beautiful and I felt my nervous system completely slow down as soon as I arrived. I even extended my stay longer because of how happy I felt. If you want a place where you can reconnect to yourself and be at peace with nature this is 10000%% the place for you.

Fantastic location right on the lake. It doesn't get any better. The hosts are super nice, friendly, helpful, proactive and flexible, and they also always have a smile on their faces. The breakfast is very tasty; everything is freshly prepared. The accommodation is as in the pictures, kept simple, with only the essentials, and in a positive sense. Those who appreciate simplicity and tranquility will definitely feel comfortable here. By the way, I extended my stay twice. That was also totally uncomplicated.
