Escape to a private tropical compound in Playa del Carmen, ideal for groups of up to 50 guests. The property includes two “Castillos” with a total of 18 bedrooms, a private pool, an unheated rooftop hot tub, and lush courtyards.

Located just 150 meters from the beach and a one-minute walk from the famous Fifth Avenue, the property offers a comfortable balance of shared spaces and privacy. It is well suited for retreats, reunions, and large family gatherings.

The Space

The property consists of two three-level “Castillos,” or castles. Each tower features the same layout on every floor:

• Three bedrooms
• Two bathrooms
• A kitchen
• A living room
• Wraparound balconies

Each tower functions similarly to a condominium building, with three bedrooms on each level. Together, the two towers provide two nine-bedroom homes in the exclusive Phase 1 Los Castillos development.

One tower includes an unheated rooftop jacuzzi. An in-ground pool is located at the front of the property.

The photos show the six kitchens and living rooms, as well as each bedroom.

Location and Access

The property is within walking distance of nearly everything you may need or want.

• The beach is 150 meters away.
• Fifth Avenue is a one-minute walk away.
• An outdoor shopping mall nearby includes Starbucks, Zara, H&M, and other stores.
• The nearby Starbucks features a large waterfall and a massive shade tree.

A narrow walkway between the pool and the Castillo leads to the rear glass door. When wet, this walkway may become slippery. Guests who prefer a wider or more stable entrance should use the main entrance on the first floor.

Property Details

Los Castillos villas offer a distinctive and comfortable vacation experience in a prime Playa del Carmen location. The villas were built in 1989 and renovated in 2000. While they may not include the latest modern amenities, they can accommodate large groups of up to 50 guests.

As an older property, the villas require ongoing maintenance due to Playa del Carmen’s humidity, sun, and salty air. Our team works hard to keep the property clean and well maintained. If an issue arises during your stay, Danny and the team are prepared to address it promptly.

Guests seeking a newer property may wish to consider our other listings. Those who appreciate the charm and character of an older home may find Los Castillos to be an excellent choice.

Additional Booking Options

Each Castillo may also be listed separately for groups of 25 guests or fewer.

• Individual tower bookings may be available up to six months in advance.
• Condominiums that sleep eight guests may be rented separately one to two months in advance.

Security Deposit

Because we are connected to Airbnb through API software, guests are responsible for any damage to the property. A security deposit of $3,000 USD is required and is fully refundable, or guests may choose a nonrefundable fee of $118 USD outside the Airbnb platform.
