The water was really hot, which was appreciated, and everything looks exactly like the pictures. Highly recommend! We loved making s’mores and using the grill. The Space

This eco-friendly property sits on a bluff overlooking the Pacific, Bahía de Papalotes (Kites Bay), and La Bufadora. Nearby, you will find hiking trails, tidal pools for snorkeling and swimming, the secluded beach at Crocodile Cove, the marine geyser, and the local market in La Bufadora.

The Guadalupe Wine Valley is approximately one hour away, making it possible to arrange a gastro-wine tour. Downtown Ensenada, where you can enjoy the nightlife and go dancing, is approximately 45 minutes away.

Sunset by the Sea is powered entirely by solar energy and is self-contained, with its own water and gas systems on-site. A propane generator is available as a backup during cloudy weather. Because these resources are precious and limited, guests are asked to conserve whenever possible by:

• Taking shorter showers
• Unplugging devices at night
• Flushing less frequently
• Staying mindful of the surrounding natural environment

Sunset by the Sea Properties

Four properties make up the Sunset by the Sea peninsula:

• Rancho Del Mar
• The Castle House
• Couple’s Getaway
• The Avocado Dome

Each property has its own private entrance, balcony or deck, fire pit, kitchen, and living and sleeping areas. The properties may be rented separately or together, depending on group size and availability.

Together, the homes can accommodate groups of up to 36 guests. Dozens more guests can also be accommodated within the same secluded neighborhood.

Guest Access

Guests have access to the entire home, along with nearby hiking trails and secluded beaches.

Pricing

The nightly list price covers up to six guests. An additional charge applies for groups of seven or more. To view the adjusted total, enter the correct number of guests when making your reservation.

This pricing structure keeps rates fair: groups of six do not pay the same as groups of 12, while larger groups contribute toward their additional use of laundry, utilities, and other resources.
