The Space

Important Check-In Information

• Check-in is available from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
• The main wooden gate closes after 6:00 PM.

Pachamama is a spacious private garden lodge and gated community designed for travelers who enjoy nature, surfing, and a relaxed social atmosphere. Located beside the jungle, the tropical property is filled with trees, plants, birds, and wildlife, creating a peaceful natural environment where guests can also connect with one another.

The property offers several types of accommodation to suit different travel styles. Private options include a comfortable two-bedroom house and three private bungalows, making them suitable for couples, families, or guests seeking greater independence.

The surf camp area has a more social, hostel-style atmosphere. It includes four private rooms and four individual beds, rented in a similar way to a hostel. Guests in this area share a kitchen, bathrooms, and cold-water showers. This setup is well suited to backpackers, solo travelers, and surfers who want to meet other guests.

All guests can enjoy the large tropical garden and the central rancho, a covered communal area for relaxing, reading, working remotely, or socializing after a surf session. Some spaces are private while others are shared, but everything is arranged within the same enclosed property.

Pachamama is fully gated, with a large wooden entrance facing the main street. The property provides a safe, quiet place to park vehicles, walk around, and enjoy the natural surroundings. Guests can socialize when they wish or retreat to their own private space while living in harmony with nature.

Guest Access

The lodge occupies a 4,000-square-meter tropical garden. Guests have access to all areas and are welcome to walk around and enjoy the natural surroundings.

The property includes hammocks and relaxing areas with comfortable sofas. A large rancho provides a pleasant space for breakfast and other meals, reading, enjoying a drink, or chatting with friends.

Stairs lead to the Pachamama lookout point, which offers beautiful views over Mal País and the surrounding beaches.

Other Things to Note

Many places in Costa Rica do not accept card payments, so it is recommended that you carry some cash.
