Experience the intimacy of a boutique retreat with the privacy and comfort of a luxury home. Casa 52 is a beautifully restored Colonial-era residence in the heart of vibrant Historic Centro. Paseo Montejo, Calle 47, Parque La Plancha, cafés, galleries, and many of Mérida’s finest restaurants are all within easy walking distance.
Blending Spanish Colonial character with Art Deco and Mid-Century Modern influences, Casa 52 is designed for both style and comfort. The original front crujía features soaring 20-foot beamed ceilings, while traditional hand-laid pasta tile floors extend throughout the home.
Custom steel-framed arched doors and windows overlook the lush gardens and tranquil pool. The spacious terrace provides a shaded setting for relaxing after a day of exploring.
The king-size primary suite is located in a private standalone casita at the rear of the property. It includes pool views, a private garden, and an outdoor shower.
Upstairs in the main house, two queen-size guest rooms each feature:
- An en-suite bathroom
- A walk-in closet
- A private balcony
The fully equipped kitchen serves as a welcoming social hub, with a custom island designed for cooking and gathering. Stainless steel appliances include:
- Gas cooktop and oven
- Refrigerator
- Dishwasher
- Additional kitchen essentials
Comfort is central to the home’s design. Mini-split air-conditioning units and ceiling fans are installed throughout, while blackout curtains in every bedroom help create a cool, restful environment.
High-speed Wi-Fi supports remote work, and a Samsung Smart TV with Fire Stick provides access to global channels through ThunderTV, as well as streaming services including Netflix, Amazon, and Apple.
Thoughtfully selected furnishings and original artwork—including Mid-Century vintage pieces and custom designs—give Casa 52 its distinctive, refined character.
Important Note for Families With Children
Casa 52 was designed with adult-oriented living in mind and may not be suitable for young children.
- The pool is unfenced and opens directly to the living areas.
- The guest bedrooms are on the second floor, separate from the primary suite.
- The home includes stairs, hard surfaces, and elevated features that require active supervision of young children.

We had the most AMAZING stay here in merida at Louise’s place. Everything was more than perfect. Everything you look for in an AirBnb .. this house had. Clean, quiet, comfy, well decorated, every appliance and anything you might need. The pool was amazing and always great to come back to after a day out. The location was well centered and close to great restaurants. The communication with the host was perfect…. I couldn’t ask for more. Thank you Louise for hosting us in your beautiful home. We will be back!

This was without a doubt the most well thought out and appointed house we have stayed in. The attention to detail was astounding, and yet it felt like a real home away from home. Like everyone else who stayed here, I highly recommend this house. I could happily have stayed a whole month!

We had an amazing stay! The house is absolutely beautiful, clean and you can tell how much thought and attention to detail the host put into every aspect of of this beautiful home. We honestly enjoyed the house. It is in a great location you can walk to so many restaurants, cafe, shops. It was the perfect place to relax. We would definitely love to stay here again!

Everything about our stay was beautiful. You can tell the owners put a lot of love and thought into the design of the home. Once inside, it felt very private, which we really appreciated. The host was responsive, kind, and very helpful throughout our stay. The location was spectacular, we were walking distance from so much food, shops, and attractions, and we always felt safe. We would absolutely book here again next time we visit Mérida.

This is our second time visiting Louise’s lovely home. Similar to the first we felt right at home. Her home is incredibly clean and offers all necessary amenities. It’s such a lovely oasis while also being central to the park and restaurants. We can’t wait to visit again!

Louise’s home was the fifth house we have rented in Mérida and it was the most comfortable. Everything was beautifully designed and perfectly functional. We loved the location near great restaurants and the new park. The setup was perfect for our 3 generation family, with the master bedroom a bit apart. Louise and Oswaldo were so responsive and helpful, and they made our stay very easy. It was a great week in Mérida.
