The Space

Let the sound of the surf lull you to sleep in this distinctive, open-air apartment at the popular, relaxed Villas de Cerritos Beach complex. With living areas divided between indoor and outdoor spaces, the apartment offers privacy, comfort, and a simple yet stylish Baja experience.

This second-story, one-bedroom apartment consists of one enclosed indoor room and one outdoor room. It occupies the top floor of a two-story duplex and is accessed by a spiral staircase.

The apartment measures approximately 500 square feet in total:

• 250 square feet indoors
• 250 square feet outdoors

The outdoor kitchen, dining, and lounge area beneath the palapa is a favorite feature among guests. The indoor space is best suited to one or two people, or to groups of three or four seeking an economical option and comfortable with limited indoor space.

Compared with other similarly priced accommodations in The Villas, this apartment offers greater privacy. Nearby homes are often closer together, share walls, or are situated along a narrow path.

The roof terrace includes a table and chairs. Access is shared with the downstairs apartment, although the host rarely uses it while guests are present. The host may occasionally go up to water the plants, usually when guests are away or approximately once a week.

Family Suitability and Safety

Because of the open staircases, low side walls, and backless banquette seating, this second-story apartment is not suitable for babies, infants, or small children. Well-behaved children over approximately five years old may be suitable.

Please use caution in the ocean. Pay attention to the waves, currents, and the behavior of others in the water. Avoid rip currents and do not swim next to the rocks. After major storms, ocean conditions may occasionally be unsafe for swimming.

Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.

One previous guest reported feeling vibration from the air-conditioning compressors on the roof.

Pets

Well-behaved dogs are welcome under the following conditions:

• Only one dog is permitted in the apartment.
• Dogs must be kept on a leash while in the complex.
• Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs.
• Not all dogs can navigate the spiral staircase.

Other dogs and cats live in and move throughout the complex.

Location

The property is located in a quiet, secure community of small homes and condominiums approximately half a mile from the beach.

• Walking time to the beach: approximately 5–10 minutes
• Driving time to the beach: approximately 1 minute
• Todos Santos: less than 10 miles away, approximately a 15-minute drive
• Pescadero: nearby
• Baja Beans and the Pemex/Oxxo: approximately 5 minutes by car

Guest Access

Guests have access to:

• Adults-only tub

Children under seven years old are not permitted in the jacuzzi. The adults-only tub generally remains warm rather than hot and becomes a cool pool during summer. The other communal tub is heated.

Only one working hot tub is guaranteed.

Parking is available in the property's private lot.

On-Site Restaurant

Pizza Napoli is a seasonal restaurant located on-site. It serves reasonably priced:

• Salads
• Pasta
• Pizza
• Drinks

The restaurant is normally closed on Mondays and for several weeks during the low season, which runs from August through October.

Additional Information

• Enter your exact dates to view the correct rate, as prices vary by date.
• Nearby construction is expected from April through June 2026. Rates have been reduced during this period to account for possible inconvenience.
• Please let the host know if you plan to use the sleep sofa so it can be prepared in advance.
• Warm clothing is recommended. Long pants and sweatshirts are often useful in the mornings and evenings. Depending on the time of year, surfers may also want to bring a spring or regular wetsuit.
• The host prefers that the television be used primarily for watching DVDs, and a selection is provided.
• The host may occasionally need to access the roof to water the plants, using the second-floor staircase, but normally will not do so while guests are present.
• Guests may consider bringing medical supplies to donate through the Not Just Tourists program.
