Grand Restored House

Overview

Grand Restored House is a 1940s family home that has remained in the same family for five generations. Antique furnishings, original architectural details, and a distinctive historic charm define the property.

The house is located in a quiet part of the historic center, a 10–15-minute walk from the Zócalo and close to traditional restaurants, cafés, and the Artist Quarter.

The property accommodates up to 12 guests across six bedrooms.

The Space

Ground Floor

• Living room with television
• Spacious dining room
• Kitchen with dishwasher
• Central patio with outdoor furniture
• One bedroom with a king-size bed and blackout curtains
• Full bathroom outside the bedroom with a handheld showerhead and grab bar, suitable for guests with reduced mobility
• Additional bathroom accessible from the central patio

Second Floor

• Two bedrooms with king-size beds and closets
• Three bedrooms with full-size beds, including one with a balcony
• One bathroom with a shower
• One bathroom with a vintage-style bathtub that complements the character of the house and is a favorite spot among guests
• Comfortable beds
• Plenty of hot water

Light and Décor

The house retains its antique furniture and original architectural features, giving it an authentic character. Rooms receive abundant natural light during the day, although the curtains do not fully darken them, except in the ground-floor bedroom.

The plumbing is original to the 1940s, and the upstairs bathtub drains somewhat slowly.

Before You Book

• The covered garage accommodates one mid-size car.
• The garage entrance is somewhat narrow.

Guest Access

Our family has lived in Puebla for five generations, and we love sharing the city beyond its most familiar attractions. We are happy to provide a personal list of family-run restaurants, markets, and lesser-known places that are not usually included in guidebooks.

The house is within walking distance of the Zócalo, the Cathedral, the famous Rosario Chapel, the city’s colonnaded squares, and its sweets street. These landmarks are nearby, while the house itself remains peaceful and away from the tourist noise.

A small welcome treat will be waiting when you arrive. We are available throughout your stay if you need anything, while respecting your privacy and only visiting when requested. Make yourself at home.

Driving Directions

When arriving by car, avoid 16 Oriente from 11 Sur because of traffic. It is better to use 4 or 8 Oriente and turn left onto 4 Norte.

Other Things to Note

• The neighborhood is very quiet at night.
• A wooded park a few meters away is ideal for walking or taking children.
• During spring and summer, the house can become warm.
• There is no air conditioning, but opening the windows at night helps keep the house cool.
• Fans are provided in every room.
